Chapter 8: First Date?

I woke up pretty late and time check it's now 1:30 PM. Geez. I slept that long? Nawili kasi ako kaka-netflix and the series I'm watching gets more exciting episode after episode kaya imbes na matulog, you would rather see what's gonna happen next. Pagkagising ko ay wala na si Chad at Timothy. May plano kasi silang mag-jetski eh ako naman, as someone na hindi masyadong adventurous, sinabihan ko sila na may iba akong plano for today. Meron nga naman. I wonder if kumatok na ba si Paulette at hindi ko man lang narinig. Hopefully not.

I got up and made my bed. I'll just gonna shower real quick kasi maghahanap pa ako ng susuotin ko. I can't help but laugh at my own self and the way I'm acting right now. It's not as if I'm going on my very first date or conducting a business meeting.

> 7 minutes later

I just had a quick shower and now I'm having a hard time choosing what to wear. Should I settle with denims and a shirt lang or should I wear a polo and black pants? But why would I? I'm on an island and if I'm gonna go for pants, hindi ako pasok sa dress code dito. People are wearing beach shorts and just a sando. Geez. What the freak should I wear?

2:15 PM

I ended up wearing shorts from American Eagle and a hoodie from Hollister, nag-bandana din ako sa ulo and it's from Pacsun. Also, flipflops from Islander. Siguro naman beachy look na 'to diba?

Lumabas na ako ng room namin at nasa tapat na ako ng room ni Paulette. Kumatok ako at isang katok lang ay binuksan niya agad 'yung pinto.

"Hi...." bati niya sabay ngiti sa akin

"Hi. Ready for our stroll?" tanong ko at mabilis naman siyang tumango

"Yep. Shall we? Wait, I'll just grab my bag..." sabi niya at dali-daling bumalik sa kwarto niya

She's wearing a white shorts and a shirt from YSL lang. Naka-slides lang siya from Adidas at may maliit na bag na kulay brown.

"Libre mo diba?" biro ko kaya natawa siya

"Yep. Kahit puno ng niyog ililibre kita..." sabat niya at natawa kami pareho

Paulette

Kung alam lang niya na kanina pa ako nagugutom at biscuit lang 'yung kinain ko just to ease my hunger. HAHAHAHA. Pero bakit ko ba siya hinintay kung pupwede naman akong kumain na lang diba? 'Yan din ang hindi ko alam. Nakailang spray din ako ng perfume ko from Jo Malone just to make sure walang bahid na panghi ang katawan ko. I've never been this conscious towards how I look....not until I met Mikaél.

Naglalakad na kami ngayon palabas ng hotel and to be honest, hindi ko alam kung saan ko siya ililibre. Hmmmm. Seafoods ba? Kasi sobrang sarap ng scallops nila dito eh and yung lobster! Jusko dayyyy! As in ganun ka sarap. Sige, seafoods na nga lang.

"Kumakain ka ba ng seafoods?" tanong ko

"Oo naman. Alam mo ba 'yung favorite food ko?" tanong niya at siyempre umiling ako

"Tinapa. That's the best food in the world..." sabi niya at akala ko 'nung una nagbibiro lang siya pero the heck he looks serious when he said it

"I'm not kidding, by the way..." dagdag niya pa

"Alright. I believe you naman. At first lang naman ako hindi naniwala 'coz obviously you're rich so how on earth at bakit ka naman masasarapan sa tinapa?" sabi ko and I saw him smiling up to his ears

"Hindi lahat ng mayaman sosyal..." sabi niya and somehow he is giving me a good impression of himself

Mikaél Venereza is kind of surprising me and amusing me at the same time. I can sense that he's a great guy. I wonder kung may girlfriend na ba siya o wala pa.
