the boys have been bugging drew to go on a date to move on from lemon. but drew still doesn't want to tell them about him and lemon yet because they still aren't official.
"drew, just one date and then see where it goes" rudy suggested "i don't want to" drew shrugged "because of lemon? just use the date to move on from her" chase replied taking drews phone out his hands "what are you doing?" drew sighed "showing you the girl's instagram" chase replied "she's hot right?" chase said turning the phone towards him "she's okay" drew rolled his eyes "you can't force me to do this" drew said as lemon and elaine walked in the apartment "do what?" lemon asked as she set her stuff down on the counter "go on a date" rudy answered for him "oh" lemon replied looking at drew as he just shrugged his shoulders. she was hurt but couldn't show it since their friends would be suspicious "i think that's good for you drew" elaine smiled "see! everyone agrees" chase pointed out "well, we came for movie night. not to talk about drew's love life" lemon sat on the couch and turned on netflix

lemon's heart broke as she read his text. she knew they weren't exclusive but she wanted him to want her and only her. to fight to be with her.
drew wanted to see her reaction and to make her jealous. he wasn't sure how much she liked him. he wanted her to fight for him.
"my stomach hurts really bad from my lunch earlier today. i'm gonna head home" lemon stood up. she hugged them all goodbye and gave drew a very short hug.
the next day the girls were over at chase and rudy's apartment.
"guys help! which hat looks better?" drew asked walking into the apartment "oh yeah drew just come on in" rudy replied sarcastically "don't leave your door unlocked. but seriously which hat?" drew asked again "blue one. makes your eyes pop" lemon responded with no emotion. they all looked at her confused "what?! it does" lemon put her hands up in defense "why are you freaking out over your outfit?" lilah asked "i've got a date" drew replied looking at himself in the mirror. the girls looked over at lemon to see her reaction but they couldn't tell what she was thinking. drew looked at his watch "got to go! don't want to be late" "good luck!" lemon called out to him as he left. when the door closed she let out a breath she didn't know she was holding.
the whole time drew was on his date lemon barely spoke. she sat on the couch and was on her phone. she was trying to keep herself busy and not think about him the whole time. her brain were filled with thoughts like 'he's been gone too long, he definitely likes her better' and 'what if he chooses her over me, i'm sure she's prettier and funnier'. no one really noticed her change in behavior except for madelyn.
lemon got up to go to the bathroom and maddie followed
"hey lemon, what's wrong" "nothing's wrong, i'm fine. why?" lemon smiled "you're being all quiet and i know how you act when you're upset" lemon knew nothing could get passed madelyn "just a little upset because drew was the first guy i liked after blake, but i'll get over it soon" lemon lied "i'm gonna pee now" "okay" maddie said only half believing her
drew was having the worst time of his life. he was really upset because lemon didn't tell him to not go on the date and the girl was so boring. he just wanted an excuse to get out of there.
"hey, i'm sorry i have to cut it short but i promised to watch my boss's daughter tonight so he could go out with his wife" drew said standing up "i thought you said your boss's daughter was 16?" the girl furrowed her eyebrows "did i say 16? i meant 6" drew fake laughed "oh, well have fun! we should do this again sometime?" the girl offered "maybe" drew said walking off. he didn't really care if he was being rude he hoped he never had to see her again.
later that night everyone decided to go out but lemon stayed home claiming 'she didn't feel well' she didn't know how many more times she could use that excuse. she got from her spot on the couch when she heard a knock at the door. she looked through the peephole and saw drew.
"drew what're you doing here? i thought you went out with everyone?" lemon questioned, letting him into the apartment "is that where everyone is?" "yeah" lemon laughed noticing how they left him out "how was your date?" "oh, we're gonna talk about that?" drew laughed "it was good, she was very nice and funny" drew tested how lemon would react "so is what we have over?" lemon felt herself tear up but refused to cry in front of him "i mean" drew dragged on "well i can't be around you if you're going to start seeing this new girl" lemon laughed angrily "i actually find it quite funny how you could just forget about how we felt just being around each other. i thought we were supposed to be pretending that we aren't together not actually seeing other people" "lemon chill out-" "no drew! i can't believe you would actually do this to me! after how i opened up to you about everything! you're unbelievable!" she cut him off "just listen-" "no you listen!" she cut him off again "LEMON! i don't want her! i want you! i want to be with you" drew started to calm down "i wanted you to fight for me, but you didn't. you just let me go on that date" lemon cut him off yet again but this time by kissing him "i wanted you to choose to not go on the date without me asking" lemon laughed as they pulled apart "next time we should just communicate that" drew laughed "but you know what else would help the confusion in the future" "what?" lemon said confused "if you were my girl friend" drew said holding lemon's face in his hands "are you asking me out, starkey" lemon smiled "maybe" "well, i would love if you were my boyfriend" lemon kissed him again "glad we're on the same page" drew laughed "but we should probably tell our friends" "we can tomorrow" lemon replied as she kissed him again but with more passion
