Acute Myeloid Leukemia.
An extremely rare case of cancer, with fewer than 1 million cases per year. AML progresses rapidly, with myeloid cells interfering with the production of normal white blood cells, red blood cells and platelets.
It is often associated as the most aggressive and dangerous type of cancer. Patients diagnosed with the most lethal myeloid leukemia hardly have a chance of surviving for six months after diagnosis, even with aggressive chemotherapy.
