Cedric sat on his bed, thinking about how much of an idiot he was! What if Hermione never spoke to him again? Merlin! He'd rather be killed by Voldemort himself! He sighed in defeat, she'll kill him the next time they meet! He was staring at his hands before it hit him! Hermione loves lilac! he jumps off his bed like a ninja, and runs out of the boys dorm, not caring who he bumped into on the way upstairs,

"OW!"

"Sorry Mark!"

"OW!"

"Sorry Derek!" he finally reached the top, everyone was staring at him, he was usually laid back and NEVER in a hurry.

"Who knows where I can find lilac tulips and roses?" he asked hurriedly, no one answered and he groaned, one choice left! He ran up the stairs and crawled out of the barrels. The light that met him almost blinded him but he continued running, nevertheless. He ran to the Green House and found the person he was looking for.

"Professor Sprout!" the dumpy little professor turned around and smiled when she spotted her favorite.

"Yes, Mr. Diggory?" she asked, Cedric was glad that she was nice,

"Can I please have some lilac roses and tulips?" the professor nodded and summoned the said flowers. Cedric thanked his head of house and ran back to his common room,

"Uhm... Hannah." he called, everyone looked at him and he smiled as he spotted the girl he was looking for,

"You know Hermione, right?" his dormmates laughed, kowing full well that he was infatuated with the Gryffindor, as Hannah nodded, "What kind of type is she?" he asked,

"Uh.. She loves reading. That's all I know about her. We're not really close." she said as everyone eyed the flowers he was holding,

"What's her favorite book?" he asked eagerly,

"Hm... She always quotes Hogwarts: A History," there were snorts around the common room, "And this morning, I heard her complaining about Harry accidentally burning her copy when they were practicing for the first task." Cedric smiled gratefully and laughed,

"Luck is really with me, eh?" he asked joyfully, he runs down to his dormitory and gets his quill and parchment out and writes an order.

Cedric was waiting anxiously for the owls to arrive, he was staring at the love of his life, she was laughing and smiling along with her friends. Fred Weasley wraps an arm around her shoulder and Cedric suddenly feels a twinge of jealousy. There was a sudden screech of an owl. Everyone looked up, the owls weren't supposd to arrive for another 30 minutes. The owl was holding a bouqeut of lilac flowers and a large book. It swoops down and the items land in front of Hermione, Cedric smiles and he waits along with everyone else in the hall, Hermione opened the book and a large lilac banner popped out,

"I'M SORRY!" it said, there were books around the words and Hermione's face was right beside the word SORRY,

"Who sent it?" Ron's soft hiss echoed around the room, Hermione looked up and caught the eye of Cedric. He smiled at her and she smiled back and mouthed 'Why?' he shrugged and smiled wider. She shook her head and rolled her eyes,

"I'm not sure, Ron. There's no card. It's p-probably just from my dad. We had an er... fight right before I went to your house." she lied badly, Cedric almost snorted when Ron raised an eyebrow at her as  everyone turned back to their food. Cedric watched as the two argued and Harry stared at them with a bored expression. He turned to his best friend, Ian, who winked at him,

"Finally getting closer, eh?" Cedric blushed and pushed Ian, making his face fall into his soup.

Okay, I accidentally deleted the original Miss Unspeakable-something I regret doing because I loved how I wrote that chapter- so I had to insert it here :)

MISS UNSPEAKABLE

The young brunette pulled her coat closer around her body as she struggled to walk in the snow. She promised her best, and only, friend that she'd be home before dark. She sighed in relief as she passed her house, which was hidden by a Fidelius charm (Aberforth Dumbledore being the secret keeper).

"Dianne!" she called as she hung her coat on the coat hanger right beside the door. She watched as a blonde girl twirled her way into the living room with a big grin on her face,

"Katrina!" she exclaimed, "You're home late!" Katrina turned to look at the clock and rolled her eyes, she was only 4 minutes late. Oh how she hated how punctual Dianne always was.

"No matter. I'm here now, aren't I?" Dianne sighed and nodded before going into the kitchen and coming back with a plate full of chocolate chip cookies. The only cookies that Katrina would dare to eat but right now, she and Dianne had to arrange the files that Katrina's father had sent this morning for them to sort out.

So many witches and wizards have disappeared from their homes and it was obvious dark magic was involved. Katrina and Dianne suspected that Christopher Tuft, a murder and all, was behind it all but they dare not say it  in front of Master Unspeakable, Katrina's father, for fear that he would dismiss their accusations and send them to Azkaban for a day. He had done this once. To Dianne once she spilled pumpkin juice all over his newly washed rug when she was 7. It was too much, yes but Master Unspeakable was strict.

"Come on! Just eat one." Dianne frowned as she saw the look on Katrina's face, "It's not like you'd die or anything." she added, rolling her eyes but Katrina waved a lazy hand at her,

"Let's finish this first! I don't want to go to Azkaban." she saw Dianne visibly pale and regretted even mentioning the name of that wretched place but she never says sorry. Not even to Dianne. "Just come over here!" she snapped,

"I'll be taking care of the Triwizard champions. You, on the other hand, will just watch over Hogsmeade." she said, gesturing to the blizzard outside that she was sure would be gone tomorrow.  Dianne put the plate down and nodded.
