Two people came to Prophet Daud concerning a dispute between them. One of the men claimed that the other man (who was his neighbor)'s flock of sheep had entered his farm and grazed on all the crops thus destroying the seasons harvest.
Daud(A.S) ruled that the owner of the sheep was to hand over all his sheep to the owner of the land as a compensation for the lost harvest. However, Suleiman( A.S) had a better idea. He said that instead of depriving the owner of the sheep entirely. The owner of the land could take all the sheep and benefit from them. During that period, the owner of the sheep was to take care of the farmland of his claimant, until the crops had grown back to its original condition. When the farmland was restored, they could take back their own assets.
