When Friday rolled around, it was hard to keep your excitement under control. You were finally going on a date with Johnny.

Ali stopped you as you skipped down the hall. "Hey I heard you're going to the Country Club with Johnny tonight."

"Yeah he asked me to be his date." You answered with a smile.

"Oh yeah I just hope it isn't awkward." She said, waving her hand.

You couldn't help it as you let out a small laugh."Why would it be awkward?"

"My parents love him. I bet they're going to try to get us together all night." She said as she rolled her eyes with a bubbly smile.

You raised one of your eyebrows. "You got some weird parents, huh?"

She rolled her eyes again but kept the sweet smile on her face. "I think you meant rich."

You laughed. "Whatever, Hills."

She turned her attention away from you. "Barbara!" She yelled, waving her hand in an attempt to get her attention.

She started to walk towards her but stopped and looked back at you. "See you tonight, okay?"

You nodded in response and walked to your locker. As you were putting your books away, Susan leaned up against the wall next to you. "So you and Johnny are public now?"

You shrugged and closed your locker. "Yeah I guess. We still aren't official though."

"How did Daniel take it?" She asked, walking with you down the hall.

"I don't think he knows. He only talks to Ali and I don't think they gossip about stuff like that together." You said.

"He's gonna find out eventually." She said in a flat tone.

"Well let's hope he doesn't for awhile." You said as you waved bye, heading into your math class.

The second you got home you headed to the bathroom to take a shower. You wanted to look perfect tonight. For once you put time into your hair and makeup.

You spent a long time just staring at your mother's dress. You were scared to touch something so beautiful. Part of you was worried that it'd fall apart between your fingers.

You took a deep breath like Mr. Miyagi showed you and quickly took a hold of the fabric. It felt like a million dollars.

Putting it on, you stared at yourself in the mirror. The dress hugged your figure perfectly. You did a spin, loving the way it flared out as you moved.

You stepped into the living room to see your mom watching tv. When she looked up at you, she let out a small gasp as her jaw dropped.

She stood up quickly, rushing over to you. Her eyes sparkled as she looked you over. She was smiling as a single tear rolled down her cheek. "You look absolutely beautiful."

You felt your eyes start to water. "Awe ma stop, your gonna make me ruin my makeup."

She let out a small laugh as she wiped her face. "Okay okay."

You sat on the couch waiting. You looked up to see that the clock read 8:00 exactly. Not a second later, you heard a knock on the door.

You and your mom shot up and headed towards the sound. You opened the door to see Johnny dressed in a grey suit. He looked great.

When he saw you, he smiled. "Wow."

You blushed as your mom pushed herself next to you. Johnny turned his attention towards her, shaking her hand. "You must be Mrs. LaRusso. It's very nice to meet you."

"Well aren't you the charmer." She said smiling at Johnny, then to you. "You two have fun." She said, shooing you out the door.

Once the door was shut, Johnny put his arm out for you. Happily, you took it, wrapping your arm through his. "You look stunning, Princess."

You felt yourself blush again. "You don't look too bad yourself."

He opened the car door for you, making sure to tap your butt as you sat down. You smiled, "Watch it Johnny. Even in heals I could kick your ass."

"I'd love to see you try." He said as he started the engine.

Johnny turned on the radio and began to tap his hand to the beat of The Chain by Fleetwood Mac. You joined in, singing along to the catchy song. You put your hands above the windshield, letting the wind run between your fingers. You felt free, like everything was falling into place.

You sang together until you made it to the country club. Johnny opened the door for you, letting you walk into the building first. You stopped in your tracks, overwhelmed by the wealthy looking families laughing and talking. You figured you stuck out like a sore thumb.

Johnny places his hand on your lower back, leading you farther into the room. "Don't worry. I won't leave your side."

Your heart fluttered at his close proximity and you felt yourself blush. He knew just what to say to make you feel better. The farther you walked, the more eyes landed on you.

Your heart beat faster. "Why is everyone looking at me?" You whispered, beginning to feel self conscious.

"I can't blame them. You look stunning." Johnny answered as he pulled a chair out for you.

For the hundredth time that night, your face turned red. You looked around the table to see that at the moment it was empty. Johnny sat next to you, scooting your seats closer together so he could place his arm over your shoulders.

Within seconds, a server came in with two plates covered in fancy looking food. He set them down in front of you both before bowing and quickly scurrying back to the kitchen.

"Holy shit." You said as you took your first bite.

Johnny squeezes your shoulder while giving you a warning glance, making you clear your throat. "I mean, the flavor is immaculate." You said with a grin.

He smirked and shook his head, taking a bite from his own plate. While you ate, you and Johnny made fun of the way the old couples danced and spoke to one another.

You were starting to get comfortable as you looked around the room. That is, until they landed on an all too familiar face. The smile was wiped clean off your face as a pair of brown eyes met yours. Your heart started to slam against your chest as Matthew Steel continued to stare you down.

You're really sitting there like 👁👄👁

Bad joke ik

This is completely off topic but I saw a TikTok where this girl was talking about how she thought she'd be able to beat anybody up even though she's never been in a fight or anything and I've never related to anything more in my entire life. I'm convinced my 5'2 110 lbs ass could beat up literally anybody.
