Think about it , her dad is a lumberjack , we know nothing about her mom .
She has an old phone , not a smart one , it's one of those that you flip open , Tambry has a smart phone and she has a part-time job even though she's a teen and is still in school .

She goes to Gravity Falls High which i'm guessing is a public school .

Her boots are always dirty or "wet" yet she never changes them .

Of course there's the theory she's a mermaid which is why her boots are always wet but that's not very convincing .

Also in the "society of the blind eye" she admits that she's stressed out all the time so maybe that's why ...

So yea i think she comes from a poor family .
Plus she has a lot of brothers so Yea even if they have a decent amount of money they have to pay to accommodate all those kids so .. Yea .. There's that .
