Meeting the OCs

A/N: An updated version of my clarifications page and intro (I've split it into two so that it won't go long) and well... I would ask you to not skip it cuz I've updated a few things and I don't want you guys to be in the dark with regards to the changes I've made.

A big shoutout to SohiniModak8, who was a big inspiration and was patient enough to listen to my idea and give me the required criticism. And thank you for the title idea!

1) This is a completely fictional and sort of an AU... to the extreme as apart from a few events, the track is changed completely.

2) This is a time travel story and will contain some LGBTQIA+ themes, mentions and characters 

3) Timelines:
a) Durvasa gave Kunti the mantra when she was 16, Karna was born when she is 17 and she married Pandu when she was 19 and Yudhisthira was born when she was 21.

b) Age (with regard to the time the OCs enter the story)
Kartik - 18
Yudhisthira, Duryodhana - 17
Bhima, Dussasana, Kritika - 15
Arjuna - 14
The twins - 12
The rest of Duryodhana's brothers - between 15 - 11 years old
Dussala - 10

4) The casting is the Star Plus Mahabharat cast.

5) No offence is intended and if anyone is offended in any case, I am really sorry.

6) Characters are OOC as well... it doesn't exactly follow the canon you know. Most of it is a part of my imagination. And talking about characters... no one is black and white here (except maybe Shakuni) so no one is completely good or bad. They are all in the grey area.

7) I will be using some phrases of my mother tongue - Tamil (and I will provide translations, don't worry)

8) Don't hesitate to question or correct me, I am always ready to clarify and rectify them.

9) Pairings... Most of them can turn out of the canon, some may not agree with my mentions. But Dussala is not paired with Jayathradha and Duryodhana is not going to be paired with Bhanumati (even tho I do like her and have nothing against her)

10) Updates... probably once a fortnight/week, depending on my college schedule as assignments have started piling in.

11) As I said, this book is completely AU and characters are OOC and I would've skipped some events/moments in order to find a pace for my story.
And that also means that there will be different reactions after some events from the characters. And some events will be blown out of proportion.

Now that is settled... on with the intro to our two OCs.

Kartikeya:
Nicknames - Kartik, Karti
Appearance - A kinda lean built 18-year-old about 5'7 ft tall with near shoulder-length blackish-brown hair and rough stubble. Has chocolate brown eyes and a pierced nose, olive coloured skin and an Ardhanareeshwara tattoo on his right hand (Like the one Kartik has in SMZS).
Weapons of choice - Throwing daggers and double swords (Gladius type)
Phobias - Fire
Allergies - Nuts (the 'I'll die from asphyxia' type)
Personality - Shy but at the same time a bit extrovert, can be overdramatic at times but is more of the indoor person than outdoor (in terms of the games and activities) and loves books and cooking. Too down to earth to be true. Is compassionate yet rational and really very overprotective of his close ones.
Hobbies - Painting, Reading, Cooking

Kritika:
Nicknames - Kriti, Kritu
Appearance - A 15-year-old about 5'2 ft tall with a pixie cut of midnight black hair. Black eyes with stud earrings and a caramel coloured skin. Hates excessive makeup and jewellery.
Weapons of choice - A lance (it has a detachable tip so It can be doubled as a staff) and a steel whip (the one Shikandi uses in Star plus Mahabharat)
Phobias - Water
Allergies - Turmeric when used in large quantities (irritation) and milk
Personality - A bit too bubbly and energetic, non-stop talking, can be a mean prankster if needed but also a bit shy but if needed will be ready to speak out her mind. Loves to spend most of her time outdoors and takes pride in her martial arts and weaponry skills. Is daring and will not hesitate to question things, no matter the consequence. Can be a tad bit overprotective when it comes to family and friends, compassionate and rational.
Hobbies - Gymnastics, Martial arts, Singing
