A/N: Sorry about that delay. Had my internals the past week and well... I had to start planning out the other books that I'd taken down at some point. So took a break week over there :(

A/N: Ok so... I have to warn you that I would've intentionally committed some errors in English and used as I would like to call it "stunted phrases" as form now on the regular letter without any font = Sanskrit (Hindi? Whatever language they used) and out OCs being people whose mother tongue is different and have minimal knowledge will well... have a tough time communicating so I tried my best to show that as much as I can here...

"Pandu" a voice called and he turned around, trying to find who spoke, only to find Mahadev standing beside him. "These two are my warriors. I now entrust them in your care. Their destiny henceforth is tied to the Kurus. Their journey till now was hard, and their future will he harder. They will tell you their story when they wake. They are just recuperating right now. Take care of them like they are your own." he said, giving them a loving look as he took in Pandu's shocked face.

"But before I do forget. The two of them are warriors of their own right. Give them these when they come around. They will know what it means. They will know what to do" he said as he handed over a something that looked like a narrow sword handle and a few daggers and vanished, leaving Pandu in his shocked state.

"Father? What happened? Who are they?" Arjuna asked curiously as he approached him, his small basket filled with berries. "Go and call your brothers Arjuna. These two people need our immediate help," he said and Arjuna complied, immediately going out and calling for his brothers.

"What happened, father? You usually don't call us back this quick? And who are they?" Yudhisthira asked.

"It is urgent putr. I need the two of you gently carry that lad while I will take care of this young lady alright? We need to help them as there seems to be no one around here to help them and they are injured..." Pandu said gently and they all nodded, Yudhisthira and Bhima gently lifted the boy, Arjuna taking the bundled up sticks and the berries while Pandu took responsibility for the girl, the words of Mahadev still ringing in his ears.

"Kartik?" the girl mumbled as she shifted around slightly before settling down again. The journey back to the ashram was quick and Pandu immediately called Kunti and Madri while asking Nakula and Sahadeva to call for the sages.

The healing process was a blur. Two of them were checking the pulses of the duo and the graveness of the injuries before ordering around for some water and herbs to be brought in. The only noises that were heard were the tearing of the leaves and the pestle hitting the mortar, grinding the herbs into a fine paste.

Pandu and Kunti sat beside them the whole while, wondering about their whereabouts and praying for their health. The girl was the first one to stir, slowly opening her eyes and asking for Kartik.

"Who are you putri?" Kunti asked gently, wanting to know her name but all the girl repeated was Kartik's name as she started to panic when she got no response from him. Pandu, making an educated guess just pointed to the mattress beside her and the girl smiled before shifting a bit so that she was now hugging Kartik protectively before falling back to sleep.

Kunti and Pandu just exchanged a fond look at the protectiveness before he turned more serious. "Lord Shiva was standing by them... he was entrusting them in my care... said that they were his warriors and their lives were entangled with the Kurus in the future... I don't know what this means for the future" he said in worry.
