After they had finished eating in silence and Tina had cast a spell to make the plates wash themselves, Newt created two new rooms for Jacob and Tina.
Their rooms where both next to Newt's and you had to walk through his room to get into the staircase.
Tina's bedroom was small but she liked it : when you entered it, there was a wardrobe on the left side, pushed against the wall that separated her room from Jacob's. A blue, fluffy looking carpet was lieing on the floor between wardrobe and bed. The color of the blanket and of the pillow on top of it fitted the carpet's color nicely.
On the bedside table stood a little lamp that emited soft light and next to it stood a glass and a bottle of water.
It was a cozy space, not at least because of the wooden floor that creaked slightly everytime you walked on it.
Jacob's room looked similar except that, unlike her room, there were no windows here.
Both Jacob and Tina vanished into their rooms after Newt told them that he was going to feed his creatures.
Tina wanted to ask if she could come down with him but thought that he might want to be alone so she decided to lay down on her bed and to read through her favorite book.
She didn't know how long she'd been reading but when she looked out of her window, she noticed that it was already dark outside.
Tina let out a sight when she heard a knock on the door.
"Come in," she called.
The door was opened slowly to reveal Newt. "I just came to tell you that dinner's...," he broke of when he saw the book Tina was still holding in her hands. It seemed as if she's been reading it a hundred times, because of its worn cover.
"I hope you like it," Newt said shyly, now doubting more than ever that his book was really that good.
"I don't like it, I...," Tina began to answer but was cut off by Newt : "Oh, you don't need to explain. I know it's not that good." Then he turned to leave but Tina called his name :"Newt! Let me finish my sentences! I don't just like the book, I love it!" she laughed.
Newt realised what she had just said and his face lit up within a second.
He didn't know what to do next so he just said: "We'll be waiting for you in the kitchen," when he stepped out of the room and closed the door behind him.
When they ate dinner, nobody spoke much but everyone enjoyed each other's company.

They were all in the living room, Tina curled up on the couch, reading and Jacob and Newt just thinking, sitting on the two comfortable armchairs.
Repeatedly Newt would glance at Jacob, who still hadn't make it to be his old himself.
Everytime Jacob glanced back at Newt, he would start looking at Tina again. He just couldn't stop doing that : he loved how she stared at the book in her hand, he loved it when she furrowed her brow everytime she had to think about something, he loved the way she turned the pages, excited to read more.
Eventually Tina noticed that Newt was staring at her with a smile on his face and she stared back.
He seemed not to realise that, otherwise he would have focused his eyes on anything else in the room but Tina.
The tap on the window made everyone startle, especially Newt who woke up from his trance.
He quickly opened the window to let in a snowy owl and took the letter from her that was tied to the owl's leg.
The bird stepped out of the window frames and flew to Tina who was now again taking a seat on the couch.
She absentmindly stroke the owl's soft feathers but she wanted to know who sent the letter :"Who's been writing?"
"It's a Tolliver, Achilles Tolliver. The letter's addressed to you, Tina," Newt said, handing Tina the letter.
She let out a gasp when she read the name.
"I um... I'll be in my bedroom," she hastily said before vanishing into her room. She shut the door behind her and opened the letter.

My dear Tina,
How are you doing? I haven't heard from you for a while and I started worrying. I already asked Madam Piquery if she knew anything about where you are but she just told me that you haden't come back from your case in Paris.
I really hope you are fine!
If the best Auror in the world doesn't make it to solve a case, it really must be difficult so I hope you really are okay and you're always welcome to ask me anything. I'm sure I'll have the answer and it will be easier to solve the case.
I've just returned to New York after I've been working for a case in Phoenix. Nothing special, just some no-majs who thought that they saw a creature like a bird, but much bigger, with read flaming feathers and an awkward tale.
When I questioned those no-majs they said that this strange bird caused the weather to change. It never rains heavyly in Arizona but this creature made it to.
Nonsense. But I obliviated these guys, just to make sure.
Maybe you'd like to see me sometime soon so we can catch up on conversation.
So perhaps you can tell me where you are staying right now and I can come an visit you.
I'd travel anywhere for you.

I love you with all my heart

Love,
Achilles Tolliver

Now that she had finished the letter, her excitement that Achilles obviously talked about a Thunderbird (even if he didn't know) and perhaps about Frank, vanished.
It sounds strange but she really had forgotten she had a boyfriend.
She lay down on the bed and sighed, still holding the letter in her hand.
Should she write back?

I'm sorry that I didn't update my story for so long but I was quite busy.
Anyway, I hope you enjoyed this chapter and I'm trying to update as soon as I can.
Have a nice day!
