“He got me wrong,” Mu Xiyue explained, “Last night, I was knocked out and carried out. If someone hadn’t saved me halfway, I would have been insulted!"

“Mu Xiyue, don’t you think that’s a poor excuse? Well, since you said someone saved you. Where is he now?” said Long Yichen. Looked like he didn’t believe her at all.

Mu Xiyue, however, stared at him as if he were a real idiot. She satirized, “He left after he saved me. Isn’t that obvious? If I had taken him back, I wonder how you would have defamed us!”

“A quiet conscience sleeps in thunder. Aren't you aware?” asked Long Yichen.

“You’re chopping logic with me!” yelled Mu Xiyue.

They glared at each other, neither of whom were convinced at all.

Long Jingsong thumped the table angrily. He reprimanded, “Look at you! Does either of you behave like a prince or a princess? People will laugh at you!”

Plop! Mu Xiyue knelt down and said sincerely, “Your Majesty, I don’t care who should take the blame today. Anyway, please let us divorce.”

Long Jingsong glanced at Long Yinfeng. The latter, however, lowered his head and enjoyed his tea coldly as if nothing had been involved with him.

Long Jingsong then turned to Long Yichen and asked, “Do you insist on casting off Yue? Seriously?”

“Yes.” replied Long Yichen, staring at his father.

Long Jingsong nodded and sighed, “Well, I forced you to get married without asking either of you. Since now you fail to get on with each other, I’ll issue an edict and let you divorce.”

“Thank you, Father.” said Long Yichen when he knelt down and made a resounding kowtow!

“Leave us alone.” said Long Jingsong. He waved at Long Yichen and Mu Xiyue, as he looked quite tired.

“See you, Father.” Long Yichen stood up and walked out. So did Mu Xiyue, who curtsied before she left.

Long Jingsong took out a bright yellow imperial edict. As he wrote on it, he asked, “What do you think of Yue?”

Obviously, he was asking Long Yinfeng.

Long Yinfeng put down the tea cup in his hand and looked up indifferently at his father who was writing swiftly by his desk. Meanwhile, he replied coldly, “Not bad.”

“You’re twenty-five years old. Don’t you want a wife?” asked Long Jingsong.

Long Yinfeng looked at his legs and mocked himself, “Look! I’m a disabled guy. What kind of girl would like to marry me? I want to be a burden to no one.”

Long Jingsong put down the writing brush and looked at him, frowning. He said, “You’re my eldest son! No one dares to refuse when I ask her to marry you!”

Long Yinfeng replied with a bitter smile, “Even if a girl marries me, she won’t possibly love me.”

Long Jingsong took out another imperial edict. But before he wrote on it, he asked his son, “I want to marry Yue to you. What do you think?”
