Chapter 10: A New Surprise

A couple weeks later it was Kathy's birthday,she was still a little sad about Saber's death but she felt a little better when she knew he was resting in peace. A few minutes later after Kathy was cleaning up after her morning breakfast she heard a knock at the door "Come in." Called Kathy,the door opened up and a guy walked in with a black T-shirt on,it was of course James but Kathy thought it was Drake because Drake had the same black shirt,"Get out of here Drake you are not going to split me and James up." Said Kathy taking a quick glance at "Drake" who was really James,"What are you talking about it's me." Chuckled James walking up to Kathy and giving her a hug and a kiss on the cheek "Oh I thought you were Drake because of your shirt. He has the same kind." Explained Kathy,James laughed "Well he isn't going to break us up,I won't let that happen." James gushed Kathy chuckled a little and then stared down at the floor "What's wrong?" Asked James getting concerned "Oh nothing just thinking about Saber....But I know he is peacefully resting." Said Kathy "Oh okay." James said with a sigh of relief. Just then the door opened and the other guys and Jo came through the door "Hi Kathy,happy birthday." Said Jo hugging her best friend "Hi,thank you." Said Kathy hugging Jo back "We got you a gift." Said Logan putting a big box with a blanket over it on the floor, "Cool what is it?" Asked Kathy excitedly "Uncover the blanket and find out." Explained Carlos smiling,Kathy walked over to the blanket covered box and took the blanket off,the box turned out to be a dog kennel and inside was Kathy's favorite breed of dog,a German Shepard. James opened the kennel door and the dog walked out of it and sat in front of Kathy staring at her with his big beautiful brown eyes and wagging his tail waiting for her to pet him,Kathy couldn't stop smiling and staring into the big brown eyes of the beautiful dog. Finally Kathy looked up and gazed at her friends and boyfriend and smiled,"Thank you so much guys I love him." Gushed Kathy wrapping her arms around the dog and petting him "Your welcome." James gushed back giving Kathy a hug and a kiss on the head. A few seconds later Kathy's front door swung open and Drake came in,"Hello Kathy happy birthday." Said Drake pushing James out of the way and stood in his place in front of Kathy,James shot a dirty look at Drake but Drake ignored him and started talking to Kathy,"Happy birthday Kathy." Gushed Drake "Um....Thanks Drake but what are you doing here?" Asked Kathy "Oh just here to wish my beautiful girlfriend a happy birthday." Said Drake,Kathy went to say something but without warning Drake came closer to Kathy,Kathy backed up but could back up no more when her back was suddenly against the wall,Drake came even closer and tried to kiss Kathy,but all of a sudden somebody pulled Drake back away from Kathy,it was Jo "Listen here buddy,stay away from my friend she already has a boyfriend and that's James and your not going to break them up,she is perfectly happy with,not you and there's nothing you can do to change that!!!" Jo said with her voice raised,just then she opened the front door and pushed Drake out of then slammed the door in his face,Jo heard a cry of pain,she opened the door and saw Drake holding his nose,it wasn't bleeding but it was really red "Oops I'm sorry I hit your nose,you poor baby." Said Jo teasing Drake the guys and Kathy couldn't help but snicker and when they couldn't hold their laughter in anymore they burst out laughing. "Thanks for saving me Jo." Gushed Kathy hugging her friend. "No problems." Said Jo smiling and hugging Kathy back "So back to your dog,what are you going to name him?" Asked James "I think I'll name him Bear." Said Kathy thoughtfully "Cool." Exclaimed Kendall

After a whole day of hanging out,watching movies,and eating cake and ice cream the guys said goodbye to Kathy,James gave Kathy a hug and a kiss goodbye,got into his car and left. After that Kathy kept saber's old bed,toys,food and water bowl,and food and left it for Bear.
