Zak's POV

We pulled up to this quaint little cafe and hopped out. We walked in and y/n led us over to a booth in the corner. I slid in next to y/n and Aaron sat next to Becca. They were laughing and joking, I could see they were becoming close.

"Oh my god! Y/N they have karaoke." Becca yelled

"No! I'm not doing karaoke." Y/N said defensively.

"Why not?" I asked.

"Because I can't sing." y/n whispered.

"I don't believe that." Billy said, resting his hand on y/n's shoulder.

"You really think you cant sing?" Becca asked.

"No, when I sing it sounds like I'm strangling a cat." Y/N said, lowering her head.

"Hey, lets make a deal. If I go up and sing will you?" I asked brushing y/n's hair behind her ear.

"Oh god, Zak singing someone kill me now." Jay joked.

Y/N giggled, looking up I saw a faint smile spread across her face.

"He cant be that bad.." She said, "I mean he has the looks." She whispered. I faintly heard the last words she said.

"Deal." She said, holding her hand out to me. I took it and softly shook it.

I got up and walked over to the Karaoke booth. I quickly picked a song and stepped up onto the stage.

The music started playing softly, glancing over at y/n she was looking down at her hands.

All gone is here today
Finding room to breathe
Go on beyond your way
And see

I closed my eyes and let the music flow through my body.

And though the sounds of someday
May be home
And though the sounds of someday
May be home

Even the fires on the road
Trying to get away
And all the stars seem on a roll
Out of control today

Opening my eyes again, y/n was looking up at me, he mouth slightly open.
I smiled and continued.

Though the sounds of someday
May be home
And though the sounds of someday
May be home, yeah
Though the sounds of someday
May be home
Though the sounds of someday
May be home, ay
And though the sounds of someday
May be home, ooh

Finishing, cheers erupted from the room. I was slightly out of breath from holding the last note.
Walking back over to the table, y/n was still staring at me.

Y/N POV
As Zak sung my heart sped up, he had an amazing voice. I only realised I was staring when he sat back down next to me.

"That was amazing." I said smiling at him.

"Thanks. I don't sing often." Zak replied, taking a sip of his drink.

"Your turn." Becca said nudging my side.
Sighing, Zak slid out so I could get up.

Shyly I trudged over to the stage.

Someone's always coming around here
Trailing some new kill
Says "I've seen your picture on a
Hundred-dollar bill"
What's a game of chance to you
To him is one
Of real skill

I started singing softly, with eyes closed.

So glad to meet you, Angeles

Picking up the ticket shows there's

Money to be made
Go on, lose the gamble that's the
History of the trade
Did you add up all the cards left to play
To zeroAnd sign up with evil, Angeles?

Getting into it more I sang louder, daring to open my eyes. The entire cafe had fallen silent and Zak was smiling softly at me.

Don't start me trying now
Uh-huh, uh-huh, uh-huh'Cause I'm all over it, Angeles

I can make you satisfied in

Everything you do
All your secret wishes could right
Now be coming true
And be forever with my poison arms
Around you
No one's gonna fool around with us
No one's gonna fool around with us
So glad to meet'cha, Angeles

Finishing the song, i smiled widely and stepped off. As I got back to the table Zak stood up to let me in. Just as I was about to sit down he pulled me into a hug. Stunned I eventually hugged him back, a blush creeping up my neck.

"You have an amazing voice." Aaron said.

"Thanks, I don't sing often." I said

We stayed at the cafe for a few hours before deciding to turn in for the night. The guys dropped me and Becca off at my house.

"Thanks for the night out." I said as Zak walked me to my door. Becca had already gone in, leaving me and Zak alone.

"I had a great night tonight." I said, smiling up at him.

"So did I, Do you want me to pick you up in the morning?" Zak asked.

"No thanks I'll be fine, I need to get in early to open up."

"Alright, the offer still stands, if you change your mind." He looked disappointed.

"Good night Zak." I said about to shut the door, but then I had a second thought. Suddenly spinning round I pecked him on the cheek and closed the door.
