Before Lucifer fell there was a time where he was happy and kind. That was thanks to his niece, Arabella. She was his light, his happiness his everything. He taught her how to fight and fly even when she already knew. She just wanted to spend time with her uncle. They were always seen together when she visited her family in heaven. Her uncle Michael would even take time off from his duties to just spend time with her. To teach her about his life as leader of the angelic army and all things related to heaven. And she would listen.
Raphael taught her everything about medicine and healing. He taught her about what herbs would be good, or what ingredients to use. Her uncle Gabriel taught her all about pranks and traveling between the many different worlds. Lucifer loved to tell her stories or read books to her about other species that's how she learned about witches and warlocks.

That led her to visit the earth and that's how she met Silas. She was walking around the village and since she always had her nose in a book she didn't even see him walking by.
