It was fourth of July, non of you knew where the hell that monster had gone too. But you all knew it had something to do with the Mind Flayer. The next morning you all headed to El's cabin, El locked herself in her room to search for the flayed. She had asked you to let her do it herself and for you to save your energy. In the living room, Nancy started calling a few people to ask if chemicals had gone missing to try and see if anything showed where the flaying was taking place.
"It can't be good for her to be in there for this long." Mike said after a while passing up and down.
"Mike you need to relax." Max said while braiding your hair, you where reading El's mind following what she could see. Which was still nothing.
"What if she gets brain damage or something?" Mike exclaimed.
"Oh shit. Is that like a real thing?" Lucas asked.
"No its not he made it up." Max answered.
"Hey y/n is it true?" Lucas asked.
"Shut up shes concentrating!" Max hissed.
"Jeez sorry." Lucas muttered.
"Mike doesn't know what the hell he's talking about." Max sighed.
"Oh and you do?" Mike snapped.
"No i don't but a certain someone does, and shes right in front of me. And she is trying to concentrate to shut up." Max replied.
"Im just saying El shouldn't be wasting her time like this." Mike argued.
"She isn't wasting her time Mike, this is real shit going on." Max argued letting go of your halfway done hair.
"Why can't we just go out and find them?" Mike asked.
"Because you saw the strength on Billy, and there is multiple of them! Do you seriously want someone else thrown into a wall? And there is that thing!" Max exclaimed.
"Thanks for breaking my concentration." You said sarcastically opening your eyes and wiping your nose. "Now if you don't mind i'm going to 'waste my time' and get some water while i see if my sister needs any help." You said getting up and walking over to the kitchen. "Don't mind me." You mumbled walking past Nancy, Jonathan and Will. Then the phone rang, you ran up and answered it.
"Hello?" You asked.
"Hey sweetie, i just wanted to let you know i found you father. But he seems sick." Your mothers voice answered.
"Alright great, i would come home and help but im kinda busy right now." You answered.
"Thats fine i just wanted to tell you, and i'll see you at the festival later okay?" Your mom replied.
