Chapter 30

Everyone sat and stood around the fountain in the center of the mall, you sat next to Will. You had your head on his shoulder and he had his arm over you, Hopper got another bandage from the pharmacy for you and one for El. You all started explaining what had happened in the last few days.

"The Mind Flayer, it built this monster in Hawkins. To stop y/n and to kill her, then El. And pave a way into our world." Mike explained.

"And it almost did. Those were just one tiny piece of it." Nancy added.

"How big is this thing?" Hopper asked.

"Its big. 30 feet at least." Jonathan answered.

"Yeah. It sorta destroyed your cabin." Lucas added making Hopper sigh. "Sorry."

"Okay so just to be clear this, big fleshy spider thing that hurt y/n and El." Steve started. "Its some kind of gigantic weapon?" 

"Yes." Nancy answered.

"But instead of like, screws and metal. The Mind Flayer made its weapon, with melted people." 

"Yes, exactly." Nancy replied.

"Yeah okay. I'm just making sure." Steve sighed.

"Are we sure this thing is still out there, still alive?" Joyce asked.

"They both beat the shit out of it, but yeah its still alive." Man answered.

"But if we close the gate again." Will started.

"We cut the brain off from the body." Max continued.

"And kill it." Lucas finished. "Theoretically."

"Yoo-hoo!" Someone yelled from behind you all.

You sat up and looked around to see the man Joyce and Hopper came with holding up some papers. You all followed him to a table where Hopper and Joyce stood next to him while you all stood back.

"Okay this is what Alexei called the hub. Now the hub takes us to the vault room." The man explained pointing at some papers, after reading his mind, you knew this was the Russian base where the gate was.

"Okay wheres the gate?" Hopper asked.

"Right here. I don't know where the scale on this, but i think its fairly close to the vault room. Maybe 50 feet or so." He replied.

"More like 500." Erica interrupted making them look at her with a confused face.

"What you're just gonna waltz in there like its commie Disneyland or something?" She asked sarcastically.

"Im sorry who are you?" The man asked.

"Erica Sinclair, who are you?" Erica replied with a tone.

"Murray, Bauman." He answered.

"Well listen Mr. Bunman, I'm not trying to tell you how to do things. But I've been down in that shit hole for 24 hours. And with all due respect, you do what this man tells you  your all gonna die." Erica hissed.

"Im sorry, why is this four year old speaking to me?" Murray asked.

"Im ten you bald bastard!" Erica exclaimed.

"Erica!" Lucas sighed.

"Just a fact!" Erica replied.

"She's right. Your all gonna die but you don't have too. Excuse me." Dustin added walking up to the table. "Sorry may i?"
