Hidden Truth

Chapter 4

Kira's POV

It was lunchtime now. As promised, we were sitting with Veronica and her friends. We even met a few others like Veronica's boyfriend, Archie. Betty's boyfriend, Jughead, weird name I know, a redhead named Cheryl, a guy with dark hair, named Reggie, and a dark-skinned girl name Josie. They're all pretty nice if you ask me.

I couldn't help but notice the dark girl, Josie, checking Isaac out. I wouldn't do that I'd I were her. That's NOT a fight she wants to pick.

"So Jughead, what's with this jacket you're wearing. I noticed a few other kids wearing them around the school but I don't see you hanging out with them." Allison asked the dark-haired boy.

"Well, I'm apart of a biker gang called the Serpents. Hence the insignia on the jacket. We all don't hang out because the Serpents don't really like the Northsiders."

"So you're kinda stuck in the middle because well the north siders are your friends too. I get it." I answer his last thought.

"So I have a question. Do any of you know a woman by the name of Corinne? I don't really know what last name she goes by..." Malia asked the group of Riverdale locals and they all shook their heads no. Ok, so we have to keep looking. It would make sense none of them knew her. She doesn't seem like the social type. I was pulled out of my thoughts by the bell ringing.

A few members of the pack left the student lounge and went to their last classes of the day. Allison, Malia, and I managed to corner Josie before she could leave.

"Hey, I couldn't help but notice you checking out my friend. We just came to tell you to quit while you're ahead. He's not interested." Malia said. I was surprised by her polite tone.

"What, are you his bodyguards? I'm gonna pursue him. I think he can decide whether or not he's interested." Josie gave a snarky reply. One that caused Malia's fist to ball at her side. I can't let this get ugly.

"Look, Isaac has a girlfriend. He's not interested in anyone else so back off. Don't let us have to tell you again." Allison spoke before I could but I didn't mind. After making her point, we left Josie standing on her own. I hope she heeds our warning.

Betty's POV

"I can't believe they approached me like that."

"Yeah well if you don't want it to happen again, don't go after Isaac. He has a girlfriend, you don't wanna destroy that." Veronica told Josie and I nodded

"So yeah, don't overstep Josie. Just leave them alone." I spoke and she couldn't help but rolled her eyes.

"Whatever. I have practice with my pussycats so let Cheryl know I'll be a little late to Vixens practice for me. See you girls later." Josie says before leaving the room.

"I hope she listens. She gets in a problem or fight for this, I can't help her." I say and get up from my seat. I meant what I said. I wasn't being a bad friend but if I do warn you against doing something and you do it anyway, I won't be accountable for whatever happens next.

"I hope so too." V simply states and we both leave the student lounge.

Malia's POV

I had to find her. I just had to but where could she be. Liam said he saw her on the tv which showed she was here in Riverdale. So how come no one's ever heard of her?

"Hey guys, don't you think it's strange that for a town with people that knows everyone, no one seems to know Corinne?" I asked the guys. We were all seated on the bleachers in the gym. Allison, Belle, Lydia, and Kira were meeting us in here.

"I've been thinking about that. It's definitely strange. But we can't give up. There's gotta be someone here that knows this woman."

"Or maybe she's not here..." Isacc stated with a shrug.

"Are you always this negative? How does Izzy put up with it?" Stiles questioned the guy with a roll of his eyes

"She loves it just fine, thanks for asking." Isaac bit back with a sarcastic reply and this time I rolled my eyes but before I could answer back, people walked into the gymnasium. It was a group of females. They all wore the same outfits. Maybe they're some kind of school group.

"Wow" Aiden wolf-whistled, which caused a few of the girls to blush and giggle. I noticed Veronica and Betty there. They made their way over.

"Hey, what are you guys doing in here?" Veronica asked. There was no attitude, just sheer curiosity.

"We're waiting on the girls. They were supposed to be here 10 minutes ago. Oh wait, there they are." Scott answered the girl.

Isabelle, Kira, Hayden, Allison, and Lydia all walked in. They were accompanied by Cheryl and Josie. I rolled my eyes at the sight of Josie. She's already becoming a problem.

"Yeah, with Cheryl. We better go. See you guys later" Betty and Veronica bid their goodbyes and left just as Lydia and the others walked over.

"Ok so, what's the sitch? Do we have any leads?" Lydia asked as she sat down. The guys all shook their heads.

"I was thinking that someone here knows something about Corinne. Like my dad said, we have to dig deep. We have to blend in. Join clubs and participate in this school. Get close to the students and sooner or later, something will slip." Allison stated and I nodded.

"As much as I hate the idea, I agree with you Allison. Hopefully this way, we'd get the information we need quicker."

"Same here and I know just the club we girls can join" Kira states and looks over at Cheryl and the group of girls practicing a routine in the middle of the gym.

"You want me to join a cheerleading team? I think I'll pass. I'd rather join the wrestling team." Lydia said seriously

"They have a wrestling team? Now that, I'll join." I put on a sly grin.

"Oh Malia, please take it easy on those guys. Well unless they underestimate you course. Then you can kick their smug asses." Stiles said, making a few of us laugh.
