    "Well mom, I'm off to create my life changing invention, my thneed!" The Onceler announces as he jumps onto his cart.

"Well Oncie, just remember~" His mother steps forward with a sly look. "If your invention turns into a failure rather than a success-well I wouldn't be surprised!!" And just as she said that Oncler's family began to roar with laughter.

Oncler looks between the five of them with an unamused look. His mule Melvin begins to pull the cart, and he begins to leave, he turns to face his mother.

"Well, I'll prove it to you- This will be a life changing Invention!"

Oncler leaves the property without another word. He can still hear the laughter of his family, growing fainter with each step of his mule.
