Ryuji POV
Melissa and I finally get off the plane and head for my house.
"Jeez, there I need to repair both my earpiece and and watch gauntlet, those two things took longer to make them they look" I sigh
"Well now you've got me helping you out so it shouldn't take that long" Melissa says
"That's true, having you around is gonna bs a huge plus" I say
"I agree, having you around is definitely gonna help me improve my skills" she says
We get to my house and as we enter I see my mom.
"Oh Ryuji I'm so glad that you're ok" my mom says as she tackles me in a hug
"I'm glad I'm ok too" I say as I hug her back
"Why didn't you call me so that I could pick you up from the airport?" She asks
"My phone broke and Melissa doesn't have your number" I say
"Oh that's right! You must be Melissa, it's so good to meet you" my mom says to Melissa
"It's nice time meet you as well ma'am" Melissa responds
"Make sure you take care of my Ryuji" my mom says and sends a wink at Melissa
"Wh-What is th-that supposed to mean" Melissa says while blushing
"You are gonna be his lab partner right?" My mom says with a smug smile
"O-Oh right, y-yes I am" Melissa stammers
"You two remind me of me and my husband and how we met" my mom says
"Alright mom that's enough teasing, Melissa and I have some work to do" I say
"Oh Ryuji you're no fun" my mom pouts
"Come now Melissa I'll show to you my lab" I say as I take Melissa's hand
"A-Alright" she says
We head to my lab and as we enter I see my builder bots working on one of my newest suits.
"Hey Arvin, thanks for having my bots work while I'm gone" I say
"Oh thank goodness you're alright sir, I lost communications with you shortly after shot the gun out of that villains hand" Arvin says
"I can't die just yet" I say
"Ryuji, who's Arvin?" Melissa asks
"Arvin is my A.I that I made" I say
"You made an A.I!" Melissa exclaims
"That's right, Arvin here is an extremely sophisticated invention that I made" I say
"Not even my papa could probably code an A.I!" Melissa says
"Currently I'm working on a completely sentient robot that will be able to help people and heroes while I'm still in school" I say
"That's amazing!" Melissa says
"Well there are some parts that I could use your expertise in" I say with a smile
"It would be a dream come true to make a sentient robot!" Melissa says
"He'll basically be a much more self-aware version of Arvin" I say
