we're sitting by my window,

wishing for shooting stars,

but we already know

that they never get far

I'm taking your hand,

revealing all of my demons,

and I realize

that I don't know if I'm dreaming

enraptured by your glow,

akin to starry nights

I picture holding you close

as we dance beneath the moonlight

we can be space invaders,

lighting up the sky,

extirpating our foes,

only you and I

no matter where we came from,

no matter where we go,

let's just stay together

and gaze at stars aglow
