•8• Too Many Rules

The whole car ride was silent as CEO Manoban accurately read through my résumé. I was so nervous. Her face never showed any expression and as I was feeling extremely nervous, I was also kinda scared. Everyone knew her as a ray of sunshine, sure, everyone also knew about her cold side and seriousness when it came to business, but I don't think anyone, if not those who were in contact with her, knew about this scary side of her.

I looked out the window nervously my eyes widening a little at the sighed of her mansion, I couldn't believe I would have been inside it. It felt like a dream.

As the car parked the driver came out and opened the door, as CEO Manoban stepped out, my résumé still in her hands but closed as she undid her tie sighing «Ah, home sweet home. Come on Miss Kim. We have things to talk about. And the car isn't comfortable.»

I basically threw myself out of the car, not wanting to make her wait, as she didn't even glance at me, going her way and me quickly following behind, admiring my surroundings.
When we stepped into her mansion my mouth dropped open and I mumbled «Just like in that interview...»
«We'll go to my office then, you can explore the house. What is unlocked of course. My PA will need to know the places I spend most time perfectly. Must feel like winning at lotto for a fan like you uh?»
I blushed «Y-Yeah. Khm, it really isn't an issue that I'm a big fan of yours?»
As we went up a couple of stairs she said «Not at all. It's better to be honest. I know you would never defy me because I'm your idol or whatever.»

I hummed and mentally laughed at that, if I wanted to defy someone I would have just done that, fan or not. But CEO Manoban didn't need to know that.

We reached a door and she opened it, revealing a very neat, beautiful and simple office. I really liked it.

«Wow, pretty office. It's ridiculously simple but it's pleasant to look at.» I commented not able to keep my opinion for myself
«Agree. Now, let's sit on the couches there and let's get over everything. I would like to go to sleep before 2 a.m»
I nodded and we sat down as she said placing my résumé on the table in front of us «I'll keep it. Just because I have to.» I nodded once again and she said «Rule number one, I ALWAYS want a verbal answer. No humming, no nodding, use your voice. You have it, use it.»
I quickly said «Yes ma'am.»
«Let's start with your trial period and working schedule since it's the fastest thing. So, you'll be working from Monday to Saturday, starting from 6 a.m until I'm also fine for the day. Your free day will be Sunday except said otherwise. You're trial period will last 2 weeks, starting from today since it's past midnight. Usually people takes around 2 weeks to a month to fully get into the job and do everything properly. But, I ask way more from my employees. Which is why you'll have around one week to get into this and perfect it and show me during this two weeks that you're made for this job. And you want it. You'll sign the contract at the end of the two weeks if I think you should get the job.»
I said shocked «TWO WEEKS!? I don't care about the amount of work but, I'm not superwoman. I don't have any idea nor experience on how to be a PA, two weeks aren't enough! I-»
She interrupted me «You were a med student. You have the brain and the ability to learn quickly and such easy job. Two weeks are way more than you need. I was planning on give you one but I've been nicer, so don't complain.»
I nodded defeated «Yes ma'am...»
She nodded «Good. So, now, rules; every rule you'll break will lead to a punishment that we'll discuss later. Now, keep them in mind, write them down, I don't care, but remember them, because I don't like to repeat myself twice.» I gulped and took out my phone opening the notepad to write them down «So, let's start, they're really easy and just a few. As I said before, always answer verbally, vocally whatever you wanna call it. Never, and I mean it, never disrespect me in any kind sort of way. Always follow my orders. No matter how uncomfortable it might be, unless in specific cases which you'll need to tell me and we'll see what to do. Be always on time. I hate people who are late. Of course as I told you before, no drinking, smoking or anything else during work hours. As well as appropriate attire unless told otherwise. Be available for me as much as you can always, which includes free days and out of work hours. The informations and things you learn must not be disclosed for any reason. Unless you have my permission. Whatever you do or what to do, you need my permission. For now only during work hours, I'll see if we'll need to implement that even outside work. You'll follow me to every meeting, even those overseas or just out the country. I want maximum efficiency from you. You'll have to keep everything in order, my schedule updated and well organized, I'll depend on you and you'll be the one telling me the whole day plan and reminding me of what I might forget. If I feel like any other rule apart from some basics need to be implemented I'll tell you. Understood?»
I hummed and mumbled «Very control freak like...»
Her cold voice said making me freeze «That is called being disrespectful towards me. So you already broke a rule. Great start to open the punishments theme and to get a first hand experience.»
I gulped scared and stood up saying defensively «I-I'm sorry! No punishment please! I even sobered up! Today was enough of a punishment on it's own! Please!»
Manoban said coldly «New rule, don't complain or try to get out of a punishment. It'll make things worst.»
I quickly shut up and looked down pouting «I'm sorry...» I sat back down, while CEO Manoban said
«So, punishments. It will range depending on the gravity of your actions. Disrespecting me like this and quickly apologize meaning it, since we're not close, will bring you to write 100 times "I won't disrespect my boss." on a paper.»
«I thought I was expelled from school, but apparently I'm still there.» I commented once again my blurt personality showing as my eyes widened and I covered my mouth with a hand as CEO Manoban simply sighed «Get to work. You have 7 minutes. If you won't be done you'll be in great troubles. So with the excuse I'll see how fast you are at writing.»

I sighed as she lent me a pen and paper, I sat on the ground to reach the table more comfortably and I got to work under her hawk gaze.

She's pretty intimidating for being such a celebrity...

«Ouch.. my hand hurts...» I whined for the hundredth time, mumbling to myself as I was writing the 78 line and I had only two minutes left
«Less whining and more writing Miss Kim.»
«Yes ma'am.» I replied sighing.

Only I could have such first day of work. I know it's not exactly a day complete but still... Gosh... I feel like I'll be punished a lot... Being oppressed my whole life made me become quite the revolutionary person. All the things and stuff I had to hold or didn't do are coming out without no intention of stopping. This opportunity is great and all, but I might not be made for such thing.

«Are you done?» my boss asked «Because time's up.»
I nodded and passed her the paper «Yes teacher.»
She raided an eyebrow «Want to write more?» I quickly shut up and looked down as she said «Well, you're quite quick, this is great. It'll be very useful during meetings. One point in your favor Miss Kim.»
I smiled and said «Yay! Thanks! Khm, Miss Manoban, can I go back home now though? Since we got over everything...»
She shook her head «Sleep here. I have a guest room. We need to wake up in like 4 and a half hours anyway.»
«But I don't have any changes.» I pointed out
«Pick something from my wardrobe. I have way too many clothes that I don't use anyway. Goodnight miss Kim.»
She stood up about to go, but I quickly did the same telling her «Wait! I don't know where the room is and I just don't know the house.»
She shrugged «Just look around Miss Kim. My PA must be independent. It's not that hard. Good night.»
I sighed «Good night ma'am.»

And just like that she went out as I flopped onto the couch telling myself «Gosh, she wants so much from her personal assistant... And the rules, gosh they're so many! And she's gonna add more eventually? That's just crazy... Well, come on Jisoo, you gotta do your best to keep this job.»

I stood up and started my exploration, which I found out really wasn't hard. Yes, the mansion was big but was relatively easy to move around. Of course I didn't look inside the locked door, which one was most likely my boss bedroom.

Gosh, I'm inside THE CEO Lalisa Manoban's house. Omg! I'm so excited! And so lucky! Lemme take pictures even of this.

Yes, I was taking tons of pictures but some factors about the house, really looked weird; she didn't have pictures of herself around or family, she had many locked doors, the one that most likely lead to the basement even had a lock, there were also locked furnitures.

Who the hell locks drawers and just furniture in general!? She does have weird habits indeed...
Oh well, who cares, everyone's a little weird, this just makes me stan her harder if it's even possible...

My exploration finished once I visited all the house and found the guest room, when I remembered one thing.

«I DON'T HAVE CLOTHES TO CHANGE!» I exclaimed as I realized I totally forgot about them and my boss was most likely asleep. I was about to curse myself went my eyes went to the bed, finding a pile of clothes, from undergarments, to pj, to work clothes.

She is so amazing omg!!

Hello hello! I updated fast didn't I? The sad thing is that now that I'm updating faster I see less reads and less comments *sigh* oh well, I appreciate those that I have :3

So, how do you think Jisoo's first day of work will go? And how about the rules and want Manoban demands from her PA, do you think it's too much like Jisoo or not?
