Harry going Missing And Gilderoy Lockhart

Summer came and went and soon it was time to go to Diagon Alley to go shopping for our school supplies. Ginny and I were also super excited about getting our first wands. Mrs Weasley lined us all up in front of the fireplace, we were going to Diagon Alley via flew powder. While I was staying with the Weasleys last year, they introduced me to flew powder, when we went to Romania to visit Charlie last last Christmas we used flew powder to travel there. We also used it whenever we needed to go somewhere to run errands or go grocery shopping. I doubt Harry has ever traveled by flew powder before, so this should be an interesting experience for him. Mrs Weasley clearly didn't know that Harry hasn't traveled by flew powder before, because she told him to go first. Harry was clearly very confused, he didn't know what was going on or what to do. "Harry has never traveled by flew powder before Mrs Weasley." I quickly told her. "Oh right, well then Lucy why don't you go first and show Harry how it's done." Mrs Weasley told me. I quickly went over to the fire place and took a bit of flew powder, while Mrs Weasley instructed Harry on how to use the flew network. "Now Harry it's important to speak very clearly. Watch Lucy." she said. I stepped into the fireplace and threw my powder down and said very clearly "DIAGON ALLEY." Immediately I was engulfed in green flames, that didn't hurt at all and I was spinning. A bunch of fireplaces flew past me, and the next thing I know I was thrown out of a fireplace in the middle of Diagon Alley. I quickly dusted the remaining soot of of my clothes and hair, and waited for Harry and the rest of the Weasleys to arrive. After a few minutes Ron arrived, looking a bit worried. I was confused, Harry was supposed to be behind me, and Ron behind him, what happened, did they dicide to switch places or something. "Ron where is Harry, wasn't he supposed to be after me?" I questioned. Ron looked a bit alarmed at my question. "Harry isn't here?" Ron questioned. Ron not knowing where Harry was either worried me. "No, Harry isn't here, what happened?" I asked. "Harry said Diagonally instead of Diagon Alley, we thought that he might still end up here somewhere." Ron answered. "If he didn't say the name right, then he won't be here."I said."Diagonally is similar enough to Diagon Alley, he couldn't have gotten very far. My guess is that he is somewhere in Knokturn Alley, (Knockturn Alley is basically the Diagon Alley for Dark witches and wizards, it's a street, that is filled with shops where you can buy and sell dark magical items, it's connected to Diagon Alley,but only people who are up to no good ever step foot in there), it's right next to it and it is only one grate farther if you're traveling by flew powder."I added after a moment." Well let's go look for him then." Ron suggested. "No Ron, we can't go poking around Knokturn alley." I exclaimed. I sighed and said in a calm reasonable voice. "We don't even know for sure that Harry is there,and even if we did, we have no way of knowing exactly where in Knokturn Alley he ended up,that place is nearly as large as Diagon Alley, and we've never been there. We could get seriously lost, and getting lost in Knokturn Alley is dangerous, there are nasty witches and wizards there that would do who knows what to two kids like us. Even if we did know exactly where he was it would be too dangerous for us to go." I told Ron."What do we do then?"Ron asked. "Tell your parents, they can call Dumbledore or the Aurors(The Aurors are the wizard police.)or something and they will find Harry, and if they can't find him, trust that Harry will find his own way out of there, he is very resourceful." I said. During the year I spent at the Weasleys, I learned everything there is to know about the Wizarding world. It looks like Harry couldn't be bothered to ask some questions or pick up a book about the Wizarding world during his year at Hogwarts, as a result, I know practically everything that there is to know about Hogwarts and the Wizarding world and I've never even been to Hogwarts and Harry knows nothing, that's why he is always in trouble. A little while later Percy came through, he went off to do his own thing immediately, then the twins came through, they also wanted to know what happened to Harry, I told them, which resulted in them also wanting to go to Knockturn Alley, but less to look for Harry, than them wanting an excuse to go there, since they think it's fascinating, but they're parents forbade them to even step foot in that direction let alone go in there. I had to drag them back by their ears when they darted in that direction, and last Mr said Mrs Weasley came through with Ginny, just as I finished dragging the twins back by their ears. Mrs Weasley then asked why I was dragging the twins by their ears, while Ginny just watched the scene in amusement. Ron and I expect to her and Mr Weasley my theory about Knockturn Alley. Mr Weasley said that he would go ask around if anyone has seen him. Mrs Weasley then took Ginny and I to get our wands so long while Mr Weasley is searching for Harry. We walked into Olivanders wand shop. Mr Olivander was very pleased to see me again. "Ah miss Potter, you've finally come for your wand, I'm very pleased to see you again." I smiled graciously at him and said "Hello again Mr Olivander, I'm also very pleased to see you again." Ginny got her wand first. She found her wand easily after only two tries. I went after her, it took a little longer to get my wand, but I got it eventually. I was told that my wand was special, that it was part of a matched set, and that my mate had the the other one. I didn't really know what to think about the whole mate thing, it was a little strange, but not completely impossible, it explains all my strange dreams and how I keep missing this man I've never met, whose name I don't even know. I decided not to dwell on it too much. After we got our wands, we went to madame Malkins to get fitted for our robes. After Madame, we went to the apothecary to get our cauldrons and scales and other tools that we need for potions. Our last stop was Flourish and Blotts, the bookstore where we will get all our textbooks. When we arrived there, I saw to my great relief that Harry was there talking to Ron and Hermione. "Harry!" I called out in happiness, Harry turned to me and smiled, I ran up to him and hugged him, and after I hugged him I smacked him on the arm. "Ow Lucy! What was that for?" Harry exclaimed. "Don't you ever scare me like that again, I was worried sick about you." I told him. He relaxed and looked at me apologetically. "Sorry Lucy, I didn't mean to frighten you." He apologized. After that we all got our books. We noticed that all of us had Gilderoy Lickhart's entire collection on the list for defense against the dark arts. "The new professor must be a fan." I suggested. "Probably a woman." Fred said. "Why would you say that?" I asked annoyed. "Probably because his entire fan base is mostly consistent of women who fancy him." Fred replied. "I can't argue with you there." I said. "Whose Gilderoy Lockhart?" Harry asked. "Some very vain and selfinvolved idiot with nice hair, who wrote a bunch of books about all of the amazing heroic things that that he supposedly did and how awesome he his." I replied."I don't buy that he actually did any of those things, he looks like he would be too afraid to mess up his hair or shiny teeth to do any real work." I said. After looking around a bit, we saw that there was a big crowd gathering, and then we saw it Loch himself was in the bookstore signing copies of his autobiography. He was talking to the crowd, bragging and speaking nonsense, which every female in the room seemed to eat up, including to my surprise, the queen of rationality and logic herself Hermione Granger. I would have Thought that the smartest girl in school would have enough common sense to see that Lockhart is a fraud and an imbisile. I guess I was wrong. Fortunately Ginny didn't seem to have much of a liking for him either, but she's so in love with Harry that she doesn't even notice anyone else. After a few minutes, While Lockhart was still talking nonsense to the crowd that had assembled, he noticed Harry and pointed him out. The Camera man grabbed Harry and put him next to Lickhart, who put his arm around him, and they took photos. Poor Harry looked like he would die from embarrassment. After a few seconds Lockhart announced that he would be the new DADA teacher, and gave Harry his entire collection of books for free. He let him go after that. Harry gave his books to Ginny and then bought his own set and mine as well. Mrs Weasley took the books to get them signed. Fred joked that she fancied Lockhart, which caused her to hit him on the arm with her handbag. We finished getting our school supplies and got ready to leave. I couldn't believe that that guy would be our teacher. Dumbledore really needs to get better taste In DADA teachers, perhaps he is desperate because no one wanted the job after last years teacher turned out to have Lord Voldemort on the back of his head and nearly killed my brother. This year is certainly going to be interesting.
