"NEIL that is not how you do it, it supposed to be random brush strokes, it's supposed to look messy yet cohesive," Farah scolds Neil. The two of them were painting a wall together, paint covering them both as they tried to make things work. "god Fay I don't even get what that means," he says, his eyebrows furrowed and jaw clenched in concentration.
Farah tried her hardest not to laugh at the poor guy's inability to paint. He groans as he tries to make the wall look pretty, "wait let me show you it again," Farah says before stepping down the ladder and standing next to him. She catches him of guard by holding his wrist up and moving it in random strokes against the wall, "see, like this, random direction and make it quick," she says as she continues to guide him. Neil looks at her face, their hand and back to her face. She looked beautiful, her hair tied up in a messy bun, paint splattered on her cheek and her neck, her tank top hung low, showing her black lace bra. Neil couldn't stop thinking of images when his eyes landed on her boobs, "see this-" she stops when she notices him. She smirks before clearing her throat, "Neil my eyes are on my face, so would you maybe stop staring at my boobs you pervert!" She says with amusement and chuckles at his reaction; wide eyed with tinted cheeks. "sorry, can't do that Fay, my eyes seem to love that place," he jokes and her cheeks turn red.
They take a short break and sit on the floor, eating some snacks they had brought with them, "do you remember the first thing I had said to you?" Farah turns to look at him and asks. Neil looks at her with a raised eyebrow, "how can I forget that line? 'I don't like you Neil D'Silva' and all that because Mr. Jackson chose me to lead the experiment instead of you," they chuckle at the memory, "but I'm thankful for that day, otherwise we would've never been something special," he says with a smile and Farah couldn't help but feel a pang of regret at the thought of their break up. She quickly shakes the feeling away and sighs, "alright let's finish this wall, I've got to be somewhere in a while," she says and stands up before dusting her shorts,
"where are you going?" Neil asks,
"I'm gonna meet someone," Farah says, not knowing what effect this sentence would have on him. Neil's eyebrows furrowed and jaw tensed as he stood up,
"someone? Like a date?" He asks, praying that she would say 'nope not a date,'
"sort of? Fatema, my cousin whose sangeet we attended, she set me up for a blind date. I'm going for that," Farah says casually, not thinking once what Neil must've felt at hearing this. "oh," Neil mutters sadly. He had hoped to take Farah out after their work. He was stupid to think that Farah would wanna give them a second chance, he thought maybe she'd like that. "what's wrong?" Farah asks, completely oblivious.
"nothing let's just finish this," Neil says, his tone clipped. Farah couldn't help but feel like it was her fault somehow. They start to clean up the area before leaving, "I'll see you tomorrow," Farah says cheerfully and goes in for a hug, but Neil takes a step back and weakly smiles at her, "yeah," he says as he runs his fingers through her hair. Without another word, Neil turns on his heels and leaves the restaurant, leaving Farah confused at his sudden change of behaviour. Could it be because of what she said about the blind date, she thought. But why would he care? It's not like they liked each other or were dating, so why did he act like that after what she said. Farah couldn't help but feel a pang of guilt.

Farah walks into her closet, looking for a dress that would be most suitable for the venue. Tresind Dubai is one of the fanciest restaurant in Dubai, and so she had to dress exceptionally. She decided to go for a black body con full sleeved dress with an open back. She curled her hair and applied minimal make up with red lipstick to go. She accessorised with a silver necklace with a pearl pendant, pearl earrings, her favourite Calvin Klein watch, and finished her look with silver glitter heels. The door bell rings and she opens the door to see a handsome man with a white t-shirt unbuttoned on the top, black dress pants and formal shoes. His brown wavy hair was nicely styled, his piercing grey eyes looked at her and he gave her a smile, "Hi, I'm Alex D'Souza. Fatema sent me here, are you Farah Fernandez?" He asks, his eyes glinting. He is so good looking! She thought."yes I am, and we're supposed to be on a date right now am I right?" She asks with amusement. She did not believe that her cousin gave a stranger her address, "that's right!" He exclaims, "also I am very sorry for showing up at your house like this, I know it must be creepy for a complete stranger to have your address," he says sweetly. Farah thought that this man was genuinely nice and she did not regret saying this to this idea. "no worries, I know how Fatema can be. Anyways, shall we leave?"
The two of them soon arrive at the restaurant. Alex had already made reservations and so they head at their table, and being the chivalrous man he is, Alex pulls out the chair for Farah to sit before taking a seat, "you look stunning," he compliments and she blushes before saying, "thank you, and you don't look so bad yourself," she says light heartedly and chuckles. He gives her a sweet smile. A waiter shows up at their table, "welcome to Tresind, I will be serving you for the night," he says and smiles at them before giving them the menus. The waiter appears a few minutes later, "I would like to have the chicken tikka, char-grilled and chicken chettinad with some naan, both garlic and butter," Farah says and the waiter turns to Alex, "the same thing as the lady please," he smiles at the waiter and the waiter leaves. "didn't know what to order?" She raises an eyebrow at him, "we surprisingly have the same taste my lady," he says with a charm. At that, she had a feeling that this would be a great night.
