There's No Place Like Home

I know you love the updates but they won't be that often this time. I will be back in school, as well as working... So updates will be as soon as a day later to possibly a week or two at a time. Also, keep in mind my chapters are now 2500+ words, so they take longer. I didn't wanna give out short chapters this time around. Gotta keep it real lol... But I'll do my best. Lo♥e y'all!**

You turned over and over in bed as you approached the waking stage of sleep. Flashback to last night, you came over to Daniel's parents place. Since the airport in Jersey had more available flights, he insisted that you stay the night here and leave in the morning. Not a bad idea, because you got to talk with the in-laws more. They were so supportive and nurturing during these tough times you faced. After your mom called yesterday, you ain't know what to do. Only thing you knew was that you had to get outta NYC and go on home.  The anxiety of not knowing the issue ate at you constantly... But after last nights talk with his parents, it gave you a new outlook. Rev said: "Usually when everything seems to be falling apart, it only means that a big blessing is around the corner." Things like that gave you so much hope in a better tomorrow. Between the outburst with Tatianna and Sam, Prescott failing you, insecurities with Camille, the relationship ups and downs with Daniel, your parents splitting, and other personal issues, you were drained mentally and emotionally. The talk you shared was a comfort of reassurance that it would all be alright... But when? That's all you wanted to know... Once you finished talking with his parents, you kissed them goodnight and headed to Daniel's bedroom. His scent lingered all throughout. You hopped right in bed and just looked around. Still, after two years of proof, you felt like things were still unreal. Lying in his bed felt like a dream. It was hard to not think about him while dwelling in his space. Before you went to sleep, you hopped outta bed and looked around, before placing on one of his shirts. Since you were used to sleeping by his side, having his shirt on was even more comforting. You fell fast asleep, leading us to now. Your awakening. The alarm rang loudly as the time read 7:00. Dan booked an early flight out. You'd make it hopefully by 10:00 for sure. Hope there wouldn't be any delays.  "Hmmmmmm,"  you outstretched your arms. The diamond promise ring on your finger reflected off the sun rays beaming through the room. It made you smile. "I miss you already boy," you rolled over in bed, laying on your stomach as you checked your phone, "Let's see if I got anything." Only a cell phone bill reminder text and school emails. "Ehh." Standing to your feet, you headed to your suitcase and grabbed your things to start the day. Currently, your mood was super chill. The vibe in the house was crazy calm. Even though things were hard, there was no doubt that you had caring people in your life to help your sanity. Real talk. It was nearly impossible to carry a negative attitude around such beautiful people. You stepped into his bathroom, jaw dropped lol. This nigga know he had it good lol... After looking around, reminiscing of a few naughty times you had in here, you started your morning routine. As you stood against the sink brushing your teeth, your phone began vibrating before ringing loudly. Toothpaste flew all over as you ran to the bed, retrieving your cell. "He-hewwooo?" "Good morning... Aha, you brushing your teeth baby?" "Yaaah." "Oh okay," you overheard Champ barking in the background, "You know me.. Aaah... Just checking in on ya." His morning voice... Lawd... "Hoool uuhh Danyuuhhl..." He waited, patiently for you to rinse your mouth out. "Hey Dan!" "There she is..." "Your beds real cozy." "Is it now..." "Mhm. I got booty all over them sheets." "Ahaha, I got something else real cozy that you might like. Come put that booty all over this dick." You rolled your eyes, "I ain't... Nah uh, its too early for this. Gone somewhere wit ya nasty tail." "Fine. Huh! You started it, shoudna brought that booty up. *Ahem* felt weird not sleeping beside you though." "I know," you nodded, "Already home sick... But your parents are amazing. So good to me." "Yeah?" "Mhm," you scrabbled around, getting ready for your flight." "I don't wanna... Hold on, 'STOP CHAMP! STOP!!! GET DOWN, NOW,' yeah. I told him about jumping at food on the table. But ummm, I'm glad you stayed out there too. You getting ready?" "Yeah." "Good good. Don't wanna keep you too long. Just had to hear that voice." You blushed, of course lol, "Thanks for calling. I'll call when I land." "And send a text when you arrive the airport, alright?" "Damn, should I just get a chip inserted into me?" "Yeah, if that means I always know you're safe [Yn]." There he goes, again. Making you feel special without even forcing it. He was the shit and you knew that. "I love you babe." "Love you too. I'll be out there between the evening and tomorrow morning okay? Just gotta handle a few meetings and acting classes baby." "Okay Dan." "Alright, later." "Later hubby." You hung the phone up with a big smile stretched across your face. While you spent time talking with him, you managed to get dressed in some comfy, yet appropriate clothing. That hair was tied back in a big bun. Your case was zipped before you headed out the door. It was early in the morning, not even an ounce of life was heard. Well, not until you got downstairs. You spotted Rev on the couch sipping on what smelled life coffee. "Morning Rev!" He looked up, "Morning Sweetie. You all set?" "Yeah!" He was the only one up around this time, usually starting off the day with some Bible reading. And, you were right. You saw the Bible on the table near him. "Just wanted to see you out. I'm up around this time. I usually go into my sun room or Zen, but I wanted to wait on you." "Thank you," you stood before him. He got up and kissed your forehead. "How'd you sleep?" "Great. Slept in Dan's room." The two of you headed to the front door, "You ain't see no pee pee stains did you?" Shit... They weren't pee pee but there were some stains in that bed, if you know what I mean LOL!!!! "HAHAHAHA, IMA TELL HIM YOU SAID THAT!!" "HEEE HEEE HEEEEEEEEE!" His dad was so goofy, you see where he got his sense of humor from, "You are a mess..." "Thank you," he said bowing down. So silly. "I went ahead and got you a driver, okay? Leave your precious car here. Take your flight out and when you land, someone will be there to take you home. Capeesh?" "Capeesh!" You stood there, just smiling at him. This man was remarkable. So many traits you saw in Daniel reflected in this man before you. "Remember what we talked about [Yn]?" "Right," you nodded, "Right." He could see it in your eyes. "Come here." He hugged you tightly. Rev was real good at reading you, and well people in general. What he saw was a girl who on the outside appeared fine but on the inside was a completely different story. He knew that you were broken right now; crushed by the pressure of life. "It's going to be okay sweetie. I promise. Jesus has you." "Thank you." He kissed your forehead and said a quick prayer. "Be safe. Text me when you land." "Okay." You grabbed your suitcase and stepped outside. The sun was out but still low. Beautiful morning. The driver was already waiting for you. "See you soon Rev." "Alright chick," he waved while watching you walk to the car. The driver greeted you and signaled to Rev that you were good. After another wave, you got inside. "Thank you Sir." "Yes Ma'am." You sighed as you gazed around the empty seats. You stomach felt a bit queasy. "Just relax [Yn]..." You had to calm yourself down. Not knowing what you were going home to, it scared you. But Rev taught you about the importance of peace. Remaining calm during the mist of chaos was a difficult task but you knew you'd master it. Sooner or later. Once the car pulled off, you sunk into your seat and practiced mindfulness.
