1) This story is based on my own experience of staying at a guesthouse. However, both Dada and Tanmay are entirely fictional. :P
2) Amongst all the protagonists I've ever written, Tanmay remains one of my favourites.
3) I fell in dal once. Much like Tanmay. :P
4) I also lost my wallet in a mall once. While Tanmay didn't rescue me, my dear friend did. :)
5) The writing advice Pat gave to Lakshmi was given to me at a very young age.
6) Letters are my favorite form of writing. There's something so personal about a handwritten letter.
7) The poetry in this story is from my collection of poetry. But these 3 poems now belong to Tanmay. 😍
