[Coincidence 2]

The following day

"Sorry late ako dumating." Sabi ni Ven sabay beso sa amin. Nandito kami sa coffee shop katabi lang naman ng campus. Friday ngayon kaya tambay kami dito sa 24th Street na Coffee Shop.

Nicole was busy doing research in her laptop habang ako ay naghighlight ng mga important details sa exam on Monday. Ven was also stressed with her group project kasi di pa na finalize ang output nila. Sa aming tatlo kami ni Nicole ang magkaklase at si Ven ay sa kabilang section.

I opened my physics book at dala ko pa rin ang journal notebook at isang calligraphy pen. It was a birthday gift to me from an anonymous person.

"Ang ganda ng cover sa design ng journal notebook mo Lot. Binili mo?" Nicole said

"Ah bigay 'to sa akin."

"Ganoon bah, asan kaya niyan nabili diko mahanap sa NBS. Ang cute ng avocado sa cover kaya." Nicole added.

I just smiled at her at pinapatuloy ang ginawa.

I ordered some iced coffee and empanada my perfect combo. Ang tahimik tuloy namin ngayon dahil abala kami sa kanyang-kanya naming gawain. How funny it is na Friday pa naman at para rin tuloy kami ewan dito but we got used to these setting lalo na at si Nicole ang into academics sa amin at si Ven ay into sports naman habang ako abala sa Student Council.

Nagkakilala na rin kami since elementary and were on the same class since freshman in junior years. Una kaming nagkakilala ni Ven dahil pareho kaming hilig ng sketching and softball. Nicole was a friend of Ven, sila ang nagkakilala pagkatapos ay nagkasama na rin kaming tatlo. I looked outside the glass window and looking at the cars passing by some of the students wait patiently for the jeep and others are eating some street food beside the vendors.

"Btw Charlotte, nakita raw kayo ni Angelika kahapon magkasabay kayong umuwi ni Dexter. Totoo ba?" Nicole said as she closed her laptop. Napatigil tuloy ako same with Ven.

"A-hh yeah inaya lang niya akong ihatid since gabi na."

"Hmm kayo ha baka may something sa inyong dalawa." Nicole teased.

"Tama! Noon paman kayo na ang magkasundo ni Dexter and since inaya ka niyang tumakbo sa partylist bilang secretary ay pumayag ka naman."

Dexter was a close friend. One and only rare male bestfriend I have in the campus. Matagal na rin kami nagkakilala ni Dexter since sophomore years but nothing really is going between the two of us really.

"Dexter is a great guy, but he is just a friend."

"A friend. Doon naman magsimula lahat." Parehong sabi nila sa akin.

I changed the topic and asked them about there plan since papalapit na rin ang graduation ball.

"I have no plans yet." Ven said while Nicole seems excited. "Arghh! Alright I'll tell you nalang. You know Calix?"

"Yeah Calix the great?" Ven joked that made me laugh.

"What about Calix? Yon ba ang team captain ng soccer player?" Sabi ko since di ako pamilyar sa ibang varsity players. I just known them from their looks dahil kay Dexter marami rin iyong mga kaibigan na pumupunta sa office during afternoon break o di kaya lunch time.

"Uh-huh but di ako interesado sa kanya. You know naman na I hate dates and that relationship stuff."

Nicole is gorgeous in her looks but she really focused more on her studies than date. But she likes to go party sometimes. She may be innocent in her looks but to tell you honestly she's really something else in a good way.

"Then bustedin mo siya simple para di ka na rin ma bother girl." Ven replied as she continue to do her stuff in her phone.

"You know I can't do that."

"Why not?" Sabi ko sa kanya.

"Kasi Calix's parents are close to mine and I've known Calix before it's just so new to me, the dating and confession stuff."

"Mas mabuti sabihin mo sa kanya ang naramdaman mo kaysa paasahin mo 'yong tao." Pahabol na sabi ni Ven. Among the three of us si Ven rin ang blunt and matured magsalita sa amin. I was the soft one and Nicole is the nerdy type of friend but she's not that innocent. Tama naman din ang payo ni Ven mabuti na sabihin ang totoong dahilan kapag umayaw ka sa isang tao para di rin umasa lang ito sa wala.

"Let's be real either you give him a chance or regret your decision." I added as I finish my empanada.

Tumango naman si Nicole at sumang-ayon pero maghahanap pa lang siya ng tamang araw para makipag usap ng masinsinan kay Calix. Although Calix isn't a bad guy mas sporty pa nga ito.

Mga quarter to six na rin at tumatawag na si Kuya na siya ang magsundo sa akin ngayon.

Nakipag usap lang kami at nakig free wifi sa coffee ng matapos kami sa gawain namin. Mabuti naman at wala na akong aabalahin pa this weekend pero may lakad pa ako.

"Hey Lot, si Milo oh!" Ven whispered beside me as we finished the drink.

I looked at the man in the corner while busy typing on his laptop. Nakapanibago nga rin na makita ko siyang naka glasses. Nicole was out for a minute dahil nag restroom ito kaya naiwan kami ni Ven sa lamesa.

"Siya lang ba mag-isa? Kanina pa ba siya riyan?" Mahinahon na bulong ko kay Ven.

"Kaya nga di ko rin tuloy napansin siya kanina eh baka kadadating lang."

Baka nga naman I was not sitted positioned looking towards his direction kaya di ko ito napansin dahil nasa harap kami naka-upo.

"Wyn! Kanina ka pa ba?" Then we heard someone's voice.

Ven and I were shocked to see Angelika who just came by and went to Milo's table. Nakabalik na rin si Nicole galing restroom at ng mapansin niya kung saan kami nakatingin at napamura ito ng mahina.

"What the heck—" she didn't even finish her sentence as she came to us with a confuse look. Mukha tuloy kaming mga spy dito then we laugh cheekily.

What a day!
