A Slime's Neko Daughter

Chap. 1 Meeting Veldora

A/n: I'm skipping the skill acquisition scene, so we'll just start off once our friendly little slime is in the cave. I'm going to leave what Rimuru says as non-italicized after the first one, just assume that until he uses predator on the giant bat that he's saying things in his thoughts. H/l- Hair length, H/c- Hair Color/colour.

Rimuru's POV

I was running around eating up hipokte herbs before falling into what felt like water; I sucked in as much water as I could. I propelled myself using the water I sucked in; I flew across the water, then bounced off a rock. "What was that?" Someone asked. I felt myself be picked up by someone, I felt the person who picked me up walk over somewhere. "Look Veldora, it's a cute little slime." The person said. I still couldn't see what was going on, but I knew that there were at least two people near me. "This is weird I can't see or talk, I wonder who's talking about me?" I thought to myself. "Oh Veldora, this little slime can talk. Maybe we can figure out how to get you out of there." The person said.

"Maybe, little slime, can you hear me?" Someone else said. I started freaking out, covering the person who was holding me. "Hello! Can you hear me!" The person said again, almost yelling. 

"S-sorry, I can't see and I can't talk." I said. 

"Hahaha, I see how about I teach you how to see, however I have a few conditions?" The person said.

"Alright what are they?" I asked.

"Well, I ask that you don't run away from me once I teach you how to see, and I ask that every once in a while you come visit the two of us." The person said. I thought over the person's requests before realizing that they weren't that bad, they were actually quite simple. "Sure, I can agree to those terms." I said. 

"Alright, there's an extra skill called magic sense. Try visualizing the magicules around you." The person said. I tried to visualizie the area around me, after a few seconds my sight returned to what it used to be. "Woah, this so cool. This pleace is beautiful!" I said looking around. I turned to see who was holding me, I saw a small girl with H/l, H/c hair I looked her up and down noticing some cat ears on her head as well as a cat tail just above her butt. I turned to see a giant dragon who was quite menacing. "Woah you're an actual dragon, and what's up with the girl being here with you?" I said freaking out a bit. I noticed that the girl turned her head using my magic sense, I heard her quietly sobbing about something. "Please do not cry little one, this slime meant no harm towards you." The dragon said trying to comfort the little girl.

"I k-know." The girl said quietly. She set me down and headed over to the small pond I had flown across. "If I could I would punish you for saying things about that young one," The Dragon said. "She has not had the easiest life, her parents found out she had a unique skill. It's called "predator", that skill is normally only one that monsters have as well as the unusual cat like ears and tail that you see. Because of those she was abandoned here not too long ago, I've done my best to look after her however I've never raised children so it's been hard on her." 

"I'm sorry I didn't know." I said. The girl walked back over sitting near the dragon, she finished wiping her tears away. "Oh I've forgotten to introduce myself I am Veldora the Storm Dragon, and this little has yet to recieve a name." Veldora said. I hopped over to the girl stopping in front of her. "It's nice to meet you Veldora, and I'm sorry for saying anything mean." I said. The girl nodded picking me up again giving me a hug. "Before I gained my sight I believe that I heard you were stuck Vledora, is there anyway I can help you?" I asked. Veldora explained how he was trapped by the hero he fought three hundred years ago, I offered to analyze the unlimited imprisonment from my side while Vledora would send me the data from his side.

"Before I go I want you to give me a name." Veldora said. I began thinking of names before offering one I though was pretty cool. "How about Veldora Tempest?" I asked. Veldora started laughing before agreeing to the name. "Now I will bestow upon you the name Rimuru tempest, I do however have one last request please look after and name the young girl." Veldora said. 

"I will, I swear upon the name of Rimuru Tempest I will look after her." I said before using predator on Veldora and the unlimited Imprisonment. Once I finished eating the girl came over to me and picked me up. "You will look after me?" The girl asked. I nodded she gave me another hug, we started making our ways out of while I thought of a name for her. When we ran into monsters I'd kill them and ate some of the monster leaving just enough for Y/n to gain it's skills as well. I also taught her some of the other skills that I had gained while making my way to Veldora. "How about I name you Y/n Tempest?" I asked her. She nodded, giving me another big hug. "Thank you for the name." Y/n said. Once we found a giant bat and ate it, I gained the ability to talk normally. I said her name once more just to make sure her name was set. We ended up at some giant metal door which I assumed lead outside. "Well it looks like we can finally go outside, are you ready?" I asked Y/n. She slowly nodded her head, we walked towards the door ready to get out of the cave. As we got close to the door it opened revealing three humans, Y/n quickly hid us making sure we weren't noticed.

They walked into the cave and using some stealth skill to hide themselves. I admired their skills before Y/n quickly darted out of the cave without alerting them. "Well since I'm looking after you, how about you consider me something like a dad." I told Y/n. Y/n nodded as we continued walking through the forest, we eventually found ourselves face to face with some goblins. "You there, stop." A goblin said. Y/n stopped walking looking at the goblins, I felt her start to shake because she's scare of what people might think about her. "Y/n calm down, we'll just talk to them. Hello my name is Rimuru Tempest and this is Y/n Tempest." I said hopping out of Y/n's arms. 

"You two are quite powerful, we have a request for you." A goblin said. All the goblins got down and bowed to us. "Would you please come help our village?" The goblin said. I looked up at Y/n who slowly nodded, I turned back to the goblins. "Sure we can help you." I said hopping back into Y/n's arms. The goblins lead us back to their village, which to say the least wasn't much. They lead us to the elder's hut, once inside the elder greeted us having us sit on a small platform that he normally sat on. "Welcome to our humble village, do forgive us for asking but can you save our village please?" The elder asked. He started to explain that the issue was with some Dire Wolves, the Dire Wolves had killed the elder's oldest son Rigur. "We'll do our best to save your village. I do have one request though, if that's okay with you." I said.

"We'll do anything we'll devote ourselves to being your loyal subordinates." The elder said.

"All I ask is you watch over my daughter while I'm fighting the Dire Wolves." I said. The elder agreed, I started thinking about how we could defend against the Dire Wolves. "What about your wounded?" Y/n asked. The elder lead us to where they were keeping their wounded, I looked over them thinking about how I could help them. "Here Y/n, use this on their wounds." I said pulling a little bubbled potion out of me. Y/n set me down and took the potion over to a goblin, as she applied the potion to the goblin they were instantly healed. I tossed Y/n more potions as she healed each of the goblins. "There, now we have a better chance." Y/n said smiling.

"All right let's get to work." I said. We started building defenses, we built a fence, make new weapons, and prepare ourselves to fight. "Daddy, can I please fight with you?" Y/n asked.

"No it's too dangerous, plus I don't want you to get hurt." I said. Y/n gave me what looked to be her best puppy eyes. "Fine, but if I tell you to get back do it." I said. She nodded as we walked out to face the Dire wolves.
