Chapter 24

Rimuru's POV

"Alright, when you walked to the center of that platform, you'll have to call out to the spirits." Ramiris said.

"Call out?" I asked.

"Yeah, talk to them, ask for their help, or see if they want to play. If a spirit shows up, that means they're interested in you." Ramiris explained. 

"What happens if they don't come?" Ryota asked.

"Of course they'll come right, teach?" Kenya said. 

"Will they really come?" Chloe asked. 

"Yup. Don't worry about it, and if all else fails, then we'll find a demon to possess you instead." I said, making a creepy, dark face, trying to spook the kids. Ramiris floated over to me and looked disappointed. "Don't scare them with that creepy face of yours." Ramiris said.

"Who's up first?" I asked. Gale volunteered to be the one who goes first. Me, Ramiris and Gale walked to the center of the platform, leaving Y/n and Ranga with the other kids. "Teach, if this doesn't work out, please take care of them." Gale said. I rested my hand on his shoulder, reassuring him I would. "Go, I can't wait to see the spirit that comes to play with you." Ramiris said. Gale stepped forward before kneeling and praying. As he was praying, some inferior spirits showed up, ones that didn't have any will. "Great sage?" I asked.

"Question. Would you like to use gluttony on the spirit to consume and unify them?" Great Sage asked.

"It's the only option we have." I thought.

"Good job keep on praying." I said walking closer to Gale. I consumed the spirits and laid my hand on Gale's head. Great Sage unified the spirits into a greater earth spirit before I unified it with Gale. I used appraisal and watched as the energy he had calmed down. I congratulated Great Sage before she sounded smug about doing the unification. "Alright, it's all over." I said. 

"Woah really?" Gale asked. I nodded as he thanked me. The other kids started cheering before Alice walked up. She started praying and only got some inferior spirits to show up. I consumed them again and unified them into a greater space spirit before unifing it with Alice. I lifted her into my arms and congratulated her before she kissed my cheek. "Kay! Gues it's my turn." Kenya said. Before he even started praying a bunch of inferior spirits showed up before some gathered around and formed a greater light spirit. "Hi, how are ya? I'm doing great." The spirit said.

"Who said you could come here uninvited?" Ramiris asked flying up to him.

"Honestly, I felt like dropping in." The spirit said. 

"What is that thing?" I asked.

"Hi there, I'm a pure light spirit. Nice to meet you and unlike this little one who went to the dark side I'm a sweet innocent spirit of light." The spirit explained. 

"Kenya it looks like you summoned a superior light spirit." I said.

"What?" Kenya shouted.

"Your name is Kenya, do you mind if I just call you Ken?" The spirit asked. Kenya just stared at the light spirit before he said that he was going to save Kenya. He merged with him and Kenya's energy dropped to safe levels. Kenya looked at me a little worried before I chuckled and said that it was apart of my plan. Ryota was the next one to come up and start praying inferior spirits came back and this time it they were unified they became a water and wind spirit. His energies returned to normal levels leaving Chloe as the last one who needed a spirit. Chloe asked Y/n something before she nodded and walked up to the platform with her. "I want to tell you that I..." Chloe started. I leaned in closer to hear what she was saying. "The things is I, uh I love you." Chloe said.

Y/n's POV

I like ya too." Papa said looking at Chloe. I sighed and shook my head knowing what Chloe actually meant. They both just smiled before Chloe started praying as she was praying a massive energy entered the room. It felt like the sky was crashing in on us, I looked up to the ceiling trying to figure out what the energy was. A spirit formed in front of Chloe and Papa. She had raven black hair and an almost rainbow colored aura around her. She flew towards papa and kissed him before passing through him. After she passed through him the spirit flew towards me and hugged me. After the hug she spirit started flying towards Chloe, as she flew along papa watched her before looking shocked and terrified. Ramiris tried to stop the spirit from entering Chloe, but she couldn't stop it. Papa asked what kind of spirit it was and Ramiris tried to explain it before I walked over to Chloe and looked at her. "You doing okay?" I asked. She looked at me and nodded. I smiled and hugged her. "Good, I'm happy." I said. She smiled at me before looking at papa a little worried. After a couple seconds she smiled at him and he smiled back. "You're safe now." Papa said.

"That was all part of your plan?" Chloe asked.

"Of course it was." Papa lied. Everyone was happy as Ranga howled. Everyone started thanking Ramiris as more spirits came down and celebrated with us. Papa looked at mama's mask before we headed back into the dungeon. Papa gave Ramiris a new golem and summoned a demon to possess it. After that we headed back to the academy, along the way papa stopped by the Free Union building to talk with Yuuki. The next day we were playing out in the field enjoying some of the remaining time that we had together, together. Me, Chloe, and Alice were riding on Ranga's back chasing the boys. I hopped off of Ranga and walked over to papa. "We've been through a lot haven't we?" Papa asked. I nodded. "It wasn't all fun, but I'm happy to have an amazing daughter and she has two wonderful mothers." Papa said. I smiled and hugged him before dragging over to the kids to play with us.
