Seven

Kahit na kanina pa ako kinakabahan ay hindi ko maiwasang mamangha sa nadadaanan naming mga tanawin.

Centrus City is indeed a grand city, justifying that this is the hometown of the richest Asian. But amidst, who would've thought that a chain of murder incidents would happen in this nice city, and left unsolved, until now?

This is already my fourth day here. I already have full grasp of the crime after reading all the police reports and forensic findings. Sunod-sunod na pagpatay. The victims don't belong to the same age range, status,  or anything, the culprit just chose the victims randomly. Kung sino lang ang trip niya o nila.

The only thing that's uniform is the way the victims died. They all have two holes in their bodies, and their blood were drained from their veins. Weird, isn't it? It made me think even deeper.

Kagagawan ba ito ng isang sendikato? Nang grupo ng mga psycho? Nang isang kulto tulad ng hininala ng karamihan?

Or even worse?

The way they killed their victims tells us that they really want the public to know about them, by doing their signature murder.

We already have major suspects, but realistically speaking, none of them seems to match. I knew it.

Masyadong nakapagtataka ang kaganapan. Sa kabila ng sunod-sunod na pagpatay, wala manlang kahit isang witness? Wala manlang maayos na report? Wala manlang mahagilap na konkretong ibidinsya na makapagtuturo sa salarin?

Para bang may kung sinong palaging naglilinis sa mga krimeng kanilang ginagawa. Like someone so powerful is always behind their back ready to clean their mess. Someone like...Adrus Cole.

Lahat ng kasamahan ko sa opisina ay halos mangisay sa takot ng direkta kong sinabi na baka may kinalaman ang pamilyang Cole sa bagay na ito. Mababakas sa kanila ang takot. 

At doon ko nakita ang malaking butas sa pagsisiyasat na ginawa nila. Out of fear, they didn't include the Cole's in anything related to this case. But in a deeper sense...paano kung may kinalaman sila? O paano kung sila ang salarin?

At the end of the day, they still follow my orders. I let them invistigate the Cole Family. Well, pinangalandakan ko lang naman sa kanila ang kanilang sinumpaang tungkulin. They pledged to bring justice, and so they must.

Even the richest whatsoever is not vulnerable with the law.

"Do not anger the gods of Centrus City."

I just smirked and felt sorry for them.

Because, what are gods to a god slayer? I've slain several folks already who acted like gods, and they're now rotting in pits where they belong.

I don't care if they are the gods of Centrus. I came here to find answers and uphold justice, and so I will, regardless kung sino man ang babanggain ko.

I fear none, because the law is my sword and truth is my shield.

"Detective Seven, nandito na tayo sa lugar." Bumalik ang isipan ko sa reyalidad nang magsalita ang aking driver slash bodyguard.

I just nodded at him and peaked at the surrounding outside. I heaved a deep sigh.

"This is a personal appointment, so your presence there is not needed."

"But, detective, the- -"

"You heard me. I need not to repeat myself," seryoso kong pahayag kaya napalunok siya ng hangin at mabilis na napatango.

Sa mga pagkakataong tulad nito, naiisip ko na siguro tama nga ang sinabi ni Axon patungkol sa akin, na nakakatakot nga ako.

But I don't care about his opinion about me at all.
