A/N: I AM THE CAT. JUST CHILLIN OUT. BUT IN THE NIGHT, SHE'S ALL I THINK ABOUT-

"Don't be bemused, its just the news. I'm Nadia-" fuck fuck fuck fuck fuck. Of course! Of course this had to happen!

I hastily grab my phone and text Alya.

Yn:
Emergency!!!

Alya:
What's up?

Yn:
Did you see the news just now?

Alya:
No, why? Is everything okay?

Yn:
They found my bag webbed in an alley
They don't know it's mine but they know that it has something to do with spidergirl and our school

Alya:
Oh my god!
That's a huge coincidence.
You'll never guess what I found earlier!

Yn:
Spill the tea

Alya:
Ladybug dropped a textbook that only our school uses! We have 2 superheroes at our school!

I re-read the texts again to make sure I got that right. I knew Mari was clumsy, but damn. We need to figure this out.

And as if on queue, I get a text from Mari.

Marinette:
Do you wanna go to the museum with me and Alya?

Looks like she's trying to distract Alya until she figures out how to deal with this. To be honest I think I need a distraction right now too. I'm sure there is nothing in my bag that will make me identifiable, but still.

I text her that I'll go, and get ready.

~

"Can you believe it!? All I have to do is figure out who this textbook belongs to, and BAM I have ladybugs secret identity. I'm so on this one." Alya rambles out of pure excitement.

"You really think that you can find out who Ladybug is from a textbook that every high-school student owns?" Mari questions, clearly trying to throw Alya off.

"Uh... Mari? Our school is the only one that uses that book." I chime in as we walk down the stairs, Alya nodding enthusiastically beside me.

"So, all I gotta do is find out which girl in tenth grade lost their book last week! There are 43 girls, not counting myself," Alya begins to ramble, as Mari rushes to catch up to us. "41! Not counting you, Yn, or me." Mari reasons once she catches up.

Alya playfully nudges her with her elbow.

"Yn I understand, she had her book. But yesterday someone didn't have her textbook in class!" Alya teases. "I-I I left it at home! You know I always forget my stuff!" She defends.

You're making yourself seem even more suspicious oh my god. I cringe at her desperate attempts to clear her name.

Alya narrows her eyes at Mari, before laughing. "I'm just joking with you Marinette. Of course I'll only exclude you from my investigation once you bring your history book back to class." Alya says as she keeps walking.

I chuckle at their antics and catch up with them.

I glance up at the tall roof and smile. This place is pretty cool. That short peaceful silence is broken however, when a brunet bumps into Mari and Alya, pushing them apart in the process. He drops whatever he was holding causing a metallic clank.

"It's not broken!" He exclaims, relived.

"Uh... dude? You're not gonna apologise or anything?" I ask, noticing Alya's displeasure. "Oh! I'm sorry. Wait... you're in the same grade as Alix, right?" He inquires, looking at us through his glasses.

"I'm her older brother, Jalil Kubdel."

I smile awkwardly, at how enthusiastic he is. Has he even blinked once in this conversation?

"Dad!" He calls out to the man behind us.

"Weird." Alya states. "You can say that again." I chime in, keeping an eye on the two men. "So why are we here again girl?" Alya asks Mari. I turn my attention to the bluenette. "You said this exhibition had something to do with Ladybug? For reals?"

Alya and I go on ahead, Mari trailing behind. We start looking at this tapestry thing, when Alix's family come in a blab out some exposition on the Pharaoh and ritual the hieroglyphics are about.

Mari and Alya tease each other about Alya's crazy theories, whilst I keep looking at the tapestry. Is there something I should be seeing here?

Jalil and his father start arguing, causing me to sigh. Thank god I brought my suit. Time to change.

"I'll be right back guys. Tell me if you figure it out" I say to the girls before heading to the nearest bathroom.

~Let's skip the changing part~

I rush out of the bathroom and head to where Alya and Marinette are.

"Hiding behind an innocent bystander? You're weak!" I hear a familiar voice say.

I pick up the pace only to see LB and the cat locked in the exhibition. "It always hurts to see innocent people behind bars." I tease, making the two look at me.

"What makes you think we're innocent?" The cat jokes back, making me roll my eyes. Even though they can't see that.

"There you are Spidergirl!" Ladybug exclaims, ignoring Chat's remark.

"Chat? Get us out of here." LB requests.

AN: seriously though, I'm sorry I've been gone so long. There's just a lot to deal with right now. But I'm back. Part 2 of the Pharaoh will be up soon!
