Hello and welcome to your probably 47th lesson on Shadowhunter's life and all that revolves around it (because y'all newbies have no self-preservation skills and have a horrible tendency for almost getting killed by vampires) (Yes, Simon, I'm talking about you).

Alright, today's lesson is going to be a little different... We are going to delve into Shadowhunter history! And before you groan, let me tell you that lesson is extremely important. For survival and to not look stupid in front of other Shadowhunters (especially the elder ones. They are horribly judgmental).

THE MORTAL INSTRUMENTS

1. What are the Mortal Instruments?

Ans. "The Mortal Instruments are the three divine items given by the Angel Raziel to Jonathan Shadowhunter, the first of the Nephilim.

Raziel gave them to the Nephilim not only for individual use, but also in case of dire emergency, when he would heed their call only once; when used all together, the Instruments would summon the Angel."

Many of you must be so excited! We have a way to summon angels?!! Now, let me stop you right there.

I mean, I'll be extremely happy if you die because then I'll have less of you idiots to look after but I really don't want to get sued by the Clave. I hate this job, but it pays well.

So, Mortal Instruments are basically a bunch of artefacts (three to be exact) that have special superpowers which might either give you so much power, you'll become an evil bastard or you'll get killed. The latter is more likely.

These instruments were provided to us by the Angel Raziel. Like the neglectful and favouring parent he was (is), he nicely handed it to Jonathan Shadowhunter, the first of the Shadowhunters.
