UNTIL THEN

Chapter 6

"Babe, did you know Astrid was coming to Italy?" Alex asked and I pretended to be asleep

"Babeeee" she whined

"Alexander Yang" she yelled and I burst out laughing

"How didnt know I wasn't asleep?" I asked

"You don't sleep face down" she stated

"You got me on that one" I nodded

"Duh, you're so bad at pretending" She said

She sat on my tighs and I wrapped my hands on her waist

"Did you know Astrid was coming?" She asked

"Lincoln actually and he didnt say when so I guess she's here" I said

"Did she call you?" I asked

"No, she texted me see you soon" She said

"Oh, I guess we'd see her soon" she said

"I didnt even bring any of my fancy dresses" she pouted

"You look amazing even in plain dress" I said

"And most importantly I've told you several times you have to stop trying to measure up to Astrid, you are beautiful and she's Astrid" I said and she frowned

"Hmmm, wait a minute what does that mean?" She asked before getting up and folding her hand across her chest

"Errrrrrr, I meant that you're beautiful on your own and she is as well, you dont have to wear a fancy dress to impress her" she said

"Okay, I wasn't trying to impress her tho" she eyed me and walked away

"Yeah right" I whispered

I adjusted my oxygen tube and went straight ahead into the rest room wondering  exactly how did this went from 0 to 100

I had lunch in the room thirty minutes later and Alex was not still in sight, she was actually overreacting if you ask me

Hey, where are you at?
                -Lexis

I texted and she replied almost immediately

Out with Astrid
         -Alex

She replied

I shook my head and went outside the house to get some fresh air. It was sunny and the temperature was just about perfect, Nissan brought my drugs along with my favourite chocolate puddding

"Here sir" she stretched forth the glass of water

"Nissan" I called

"Yes sir"

"When did Alex leave?" I asked

"She is at the hotel" she said

"Alright thanks" I replied and smiled to myself

"Can I ask you something?" I asked akd she nodded

"Did mother live well in Singapore?" I asked and she was quiet

"Nissan, I know she must have instructed you not to say anything, I'm just asking as a concerned child, Did she live well?" I asked again

"She tried to be happy" she mumbled

"Thank you" I replied

Mother always tried to hide what exactly was going on, but it didnt take long to find out she was not exactly welcome in my family. I hate to admit it but I disliked my aunties and uncles, especially Uncle David
