Hera sprang up from her knees as if sensing something. She looked towards us before she exclaimed, " Zeus, you've killed a mortal!".

We all gasped at Hera's words. Zeus's angers tended to do more harms than good. We rushed out of the mansion, except Zeus and Poseidon and there she was sprawled on the ground, lifeless. Apollo knelt beside her after some assessment he turned towards us.

"She's cold. It struck her heart. She's d-" before he could finish his words, Aphrodite clasped a hand on his lips.

"Don't say it!"

"Take her inside," Hera ordered.

Apollo lifted her off the ground, walking back inside. He took her to Zeus who sat in his room. I could see the guilt in his eyes. He killed this innocent mortal anyways.

"This is the mortal you killed." Apollo said, with a hint of sarcasm in his voice.

Zeus gestured his hand towards the bed then Apollo laid her down on it.

"What do we do now?" I asked. Surprisingly, Poseidon was nowhere to be found, maybe he'd ran back into the sea.

"Well, prepare a befitting burial for her right here on Olympia and cover her tombstone in gold."

"What?! You killed a mortal and instead of thinking of ways to bring her back you're talking about adorning her tombstone with gold!" Hera spoke, her patience looked like it was holding on by a thread.

"The ferryman must have taken her soul to the underworld by now, there's not so much I can do. Besides if she got struck by my lightning it only means her death was inevitable. She must have been destined to die anyways." Zeus shrugged.

So, his flimsy excuse for killing a mortal was a predestined death. Poseidon walked in, he stared at the lifeless body on the bed. He moved towards her. Pain, confusion and surprise swirled in his eyes.

"That's the mortal?" He asked, kneeling beside her, holding her hands.

"Yes. She- father wants us to give her a befitting burial." Apollo replied, anger present in his voice.

"What?! No! Zeus, do something. You can bring her back, please!" He pleaded, turning towards Zeus.

We all stared at him confused. No one knows why Poseidon wanted a mortal back from the dead.

"Even if I wanted to, it's too late. The ferryman must have taken her soul already."

"Yes, but she can still be taken back. Her soul is only irretrievable when she's in the underworld, with him."

"Please Zeus, you need to do something!" Hera pleaded.

"Okay! Fine!" He finally got up from the couch striding towards us. When he got to the bed, Poseidon let go of her hands and moved beside us. We all moved back. Zeus leaned over her face before his hands held her cold body, his lips above hers, his voice a mere whisper,

"Come back!" He called for her soul with a resounding authority and his voice thundered, his whole body glowed, he pressed his lips softly against hers. Rays after rays of light passed through Zeus from his lips into her the light wrapped her entire body and lightning sparks glowed at her chest.

Zeus took his lips off hers and the lights went out. Hera glared at him as if to tell him never to resuscitate a dead person with his lips ever again. Poseidon walked back towards her, he held her hands back, staring at Zeus disappointed.

"She's still cold."

"Well then, Hades has her already. A befitting burial it is!" Zeus proclaimed.

Then suddenly, the lightning sparks glowed bright and spread into her entire body she opened her eyes. They glowed brightly before the sparks disappeared and she sneezed.

"She's back! Zeus, she's back!" Poseidon exclaimed, he cupped her chin and suddenly she pulled back as if she'd woken up from a nightmare and screams broke out of her lips.

Hayley's P.O.V

It felt like a dream as I drifted off into the abyss of darkness. My soul lingered between limbo and the underworld. I was slowly being pulled away, down into the unknown. But suddenly, a voice whispered 'come back' and lights engulfed my entire being.

The very lightning which had brought about my demise pulled me back and I sneezed. My eyelids still heavy from the sleep of no return. Then slowly my brain began to register the atmosphere I was in. A huge man-guy held my hands and his excitement about my awakening couldn't be contained.

They were strangers I'd never seen, I pulled away. Before I could stop myself I was already screaming hard. Suddenly he pulled me towards him clasping his huge hands around my mouth to muffle the screams. They all stared at me wide-eyed, as if another wonder of the world had just being unraveled.

His skin was pale beige, soft and smooth as I felt his skin touch mine. I couldn't help but stare at him. His body looked like they'd been forged from steel and iron. His arms bulged in a mouth-watering way. He was very large and broad shouldered and that lustrous jet black hair was something else entirely.

His eyes were the color of a powerful storm coming in, holding both danger and beauty. Something between blue and grey. His lashes long and thick. His incredibly toned and well defined muscles had me licking my lips subconsciously as they rippled.

"Easy jelly, easy. You're safe. You're back." He said with a voice so beautiful it sounded like the waves of a calm sea.

One part of my brain told me to make a run for it while another part was perfectly okay with the way his thumb stroked my chin. There was no use running anyways. I probably doubt if I could make it to the door. I had questions, and I needed answers.

I could swear I saw my soul depart from my body, how was I back-was I? Or was this part of the underworld? And the odd looking men and women standing right in front of me could be proof I was fully dead! Or was this the luxury part of the underworld? Wow, this place was definitely beautiful.

A guy with shoulder-length sun licked hair and beautiful golden-red eyes cleared his throat. I think he found the atmosphere awkward as much as I did.

"Sorry to put you in this situation, it was all my fault and I deeply apologize."

I think the big guy sensed I was no longer tensed he took his hands away and I drew in a breath.

A beautiful looking woman who looked like the queen from medieval times walked towards me, her hair looked like they were made from silk, her skin pale beige, she took my hands gently before sitting beside me.

"I'm sorry you had to go through this, would you please forgive Zeus for what he's done?"

Forgive Zeus? Woah, I must definitely be dead. Why would I need to forgive Zeus?

" What has Zeus done? I don't think this had anything to do with him. It was all Zara's fault! She asked me to look for that stupid House of Zeus" I held her hands tightly,
"please tell me, what part of the underworld is this? Is this heaven perhaps? Where all the righteous souls go?"

"I admit I haven't been to church for three Sundays now. It wasn't my fault, I was angry with my stupid vlog channel. Would you please help me beg the supreme one to let me keep staying in this paradise?"

They all stared at me confused, another beautiful woman behind chuckled in amusement.

"She thinks she's dead."

"She was," Hermes replied.

Then, a man I hadn't noticed was standing in the room moved towards me, his skin was a color between pale beige and white, it illuminated the room, he was huge, and broad shouldered, almost like the man-guy. his chest-length beard, white, his hair a waist length. His presence heralded unspoken authority. Was he the supreme one?
