I already knew who it was, the rhythmic tap of their knuckles on my door was enough to know it was them. I knew what to expect from this visit to my room, it'd been far too long since they'd left. I shuffled out of bed hoping for the best, and there they were in all their glory, guilty look, quivering lower lip and everything; They truly couldn't stay held up in one location with me for too long.
"(Y/N)..." They frowned, already aware that I knew the words that were about to tremble from their lips. This alone was enough to confirm my suspicions, they'd be gone in the morning.
"When..?" I sighed with a lost look and turned my back to them, unable to let my eyes linger on their shallow frame.
"I'll be there..." And just like usual, they were gone, quietly shutting the door behind me.

My eyes flew open to the best of their ability, they were nearly crusted shut by the dust that was now almost attached to my skin. There was a thick haze curtaining over my memory, and no matter how hard I tried, it wouldn't leave. I couldn't remember how I got into my room. The room was dark, but through my singular window, a little light shone in.
My entire body hurts, but that's as to be expected. I sheepishly pulled the blankets off my legs and turned my body to face the side of my bed. I felt empty, My throat was dry, well, my whole body was dry- I feel like a raisin. Finally getting up, I walked to the bathroom to see what the fuss was about.
Covered head to toe in soot and bruises, my reflection stared back at me. My skin was barely visible through the scrapes and bruises. I turned on the light and took off my tattered clothing. Who brought me here...? I thought to myself as I walked into the shower.
The water was likely fine, yet it still stung against my battered skin. I need to take care of that as soon as I get out of here.
While it was a quick shower, I was officially clean. You really don't understand how badly you need a good shower until a dozen bombs get dropped on you. I couldn't manage a chuckle, I was still exhausted from earlier. I got dressed in some random clothes lying about, which looked roughly the same as the one that had been tattered.
Knock Knock** "Who's there!"
"This is your captain speaking." Rantaro joked.
"This is your captain shouting!" I replied, voice cracking mid-sentence.
I opened the door to find a face filled with concern, it must be a tough like being an empath. "Howdy- Hello Rantaro! Please come in."
"Alright then."
"So why did you come here?"
"Oh, nothing really. Just a casual check-in. "
"I just need to bandage the cuts and scrapes I got from the bombs. Besides that, I'm completely fine." I gave him a thumbs-up, while the pain wasn't serious, it still felt like my arms would fall off whenever I moved.
"Do you need any help with that?" Was he getting attached to me? And would that be a good or bad thing?
"A little bit of help would be nice, but I wouldn't want to burden you or anything." I said looking to the right, "Is everyone else all right?"
