(Y/N) POV

Kaede carefully shut the door and I took the moment of silence to wipe the tears falling from my eyes and prepare for the inevitable, which would of course be Rantaro's arrival at my room.

*knock knock* "(Y/N)? Kaede said you wanted me..? I mean- wanted to see me."

No response.

"Uh- did you die or something?"

"I'M NOT DEAD-" why was that the second thing he assumed.

"Jeeeeez, I'm kidding~" He sighed sarcastically wandering into my room. "You've gotta stop leaving your door unlocked by the way. It's not safe."

"That was Kaede's doing." My eyes scattered across the room, not really sure where to land.

I felt as though I was receding back into myself as Rantaro closed the door behind himself, leaning on the door for support.

I let out a sigh, most definitely not one of relief, and began to speak, "There's no need to respond to this, it really won't matter I'll probably wind up being a victim of someone's murder plan pretty early on." I paused for a moment, not really sure where to start, although I suspected my head was telling me that I shouldn't start.

"Continue on, no stalling." I could see a slight grin forming on his face, he totally knew.

"You see, I haven't really known you a super long time, hell- it hasn't even been a week, right?"

"Only a couple of days."

"I don't get it, maybe it's like that thing, where people's lives flash before their eyes. Except... I don't remember much of my life, so..."

"Mhm..?"

"Shush you, I'm getting there. God this is going to be so awkward," I cringed thinking about my next line. "I- Well I like you Rantaro." What's next... Do I run, or stay here? The answer? Neither, I only felt my hands moving up to the collar of my shirt to help cure their clamminess.

"No need to respond Rantaro," I sighed. "I was right when I said that a killing game is no place for this. Please just... Just ignore everything I said."

"(Y/)-" I cut him off.

"No seriously," Face red and eyes hot I felt my hands traveling towards my face to cover it. I knew better than this, so where did things go wrong..?

"Let me finish, (Y/N)." He stood up straight, fixing his posture. "That was exactly the thing I was looking to hear from you."

My hands immediately retracted back to my stomach.

"Well, I mean, I guess I like you too." He gave me a goofy grin and I was left without words.

(Y/N).exe has stopped working.

I stood there silent a moment, not a single thought roaming the walls of my brain.

"oh-" Was all I was able to muster, still feeling awkward. "You ass hat, did you really have to make me say all of that? You had me nervous."

"It was really funny from my perspective."

"Hey, Rantaro?"

"Hit me." He smiled, as he began to walk in my direction, sitting beside me on my bed.

"Uhm, wait am I supposed to hit you? Or ask my question." I said in response.

"Hm, I'm not really sure. Whatever you choose is fine."
