Chapter 15: Scanned

December 14th 2557,
"Specimen?! What do you mean by that?" I asked the strange creature.
"Ha if I told you, you would only want to stop me!" Said the creature.

He's smart unlike some of the other enemies I have met before, there is something unsettling about him.
"Well Alex it's been fun, but I have to leave. Oh and by the way in 10 minuets there will be a firing squad here to kill you and your friends! Goodbye!"
10 minuets to live... Great.

Then I heard coughing next to me.
"Hey num nut." Said Sarge
I couldn't help but smile, Connor was on the other side of me.
"Did anyone else make it?" I asked them.

They didn't say anything for a minuet then Connor finally told me "No."
"Adam and Garrick both died before we got captured."
There was a sad silence for a while.
"We need to get out of here before that firing squad arrives!" I said to the others.

"What would be the point."
Asked Sarge.
"Who knows what he's planning?! He might want to activate Halo!" I yelled back to the others.

"We can't sit here while the galaxy is in danger!"
I started to struggle out of the weird laser beam trap I was in, but it was no use.

'I can't give up!' I thought to myself.
I tried harder and harder bit nothing seemed to work.
The doors opened ahead of us, revealing 3 knights with light rifles coming our way.

"Well guys, this is it." said Connor
"It's been an honor serving with you." said a sad Sarge.
The knights aimed there rifles at us.
"Goodbye guys." I said
Then all of a sudden,
CRASH

The wall blasted open because of an escape pod from one of the ships! It killed all of the knights and it knocked over the controls to the trap, we were free!
"HOW!" I said,
"Nothing this great ever happens to us!"

We walked over to the escape pod and opened it revealing,
Nothing?!
"There is nothing in here!" Gasped Sarge
"No way in hell that actually happened!" Said Connor

By shear luck we made it out alive, barely.
"Alright guys," I said
"Let's go save the galaxy."
