Great foundation and premise. The plot is full and rich, the storyline flows like hot fudge-- rich and sweet. The grammar needs an edit as all first drafts do, but the mistakes take nothing from the plot or characters.
These characters are bold, full bodied, and rich. The females are strong without the 'I'll be stupid and risk the entire village way'. The males are strong and dominate without the 'You'll do what I say because I say it way'.
It was great to read a straight-up tale without 6+ subplots.
