This is one of those "oh, surprise she's a______". While not normally something I'd read, by the time I'd discovered the "surprise" I loved the characters. So there ya go.
Yes, it needs an edit. There are many instances where I had to stop and reread a line to figure out what was meant but that was a mild problem.
It is a long haul read perfect for that ride out to the beach, grandma's, or just a good excuse to hide from everyone.
