She was back to the same place once again. The HEAVENS. She had been seeing this place in her dreams since the past two weeks. But this time something was different. Before, she had seen herself sitting on the INDRASAN, the seat of Devraj Indra, while the entire Swarglok was filled with humans who looked like Rakshasas. But this time, Chandrika was standing at the entrance of the Indrasabha.

This time, the place was not filled with those Rakshasi humans

This time, the place was not filled with those Rakshasi humans. But when she looked towards her right, the scene blew her mind off. All the Devs were standing like prisoners, with their hands tied with black chains. They had a look of disbelief in their eyes when they all saw her. She looked around at the aasans to find them occupied by the Rakshasas. They looked like humans, but the aura around them radiated their dark powers. She immediately looked towards the Indrasan, which was occupied as well. But before she could take in the entire face of the occupier, his eyes locked with hers. And she was lost... hypnotised... A small part of her brain told her that she should come out of it, or she would be trapped forever. But she just couldn't get herself to do it, such was the power of those eyes. And then, for the first time, she heard a voice in her dream. A voice which was even more mesmerizing than those eyes.

"You have the potential, my dear. Why waste it by just being a meagre princess and later on, an ordinary queen? I'll make you the queen of Trilok. The entire universe would be at your command. Come... Join me... Take my hand... Come on... Don't you want to rule the universe and time itself? We can also bring back your loved ones... Your father, mother, brothers... everyone... Don't you want them to come back? Don't you want to see them again?"

"I do," replied Chandrika, in a mesmerized tone.

"Then take my hand, dear one... Come..."

Chandrika noticed a hand being forwarded to her. She moved ahead, hypnotically forwarding her hand. She was just going to clasp the other hand when suddenly –

"CHANDA... STOP..."

Chandrika woke up with a start. Her face was dripping with sweat. Her body was still shivering from the impact of that dream. She got up from her bed and ran towards the balcony to breathe in some fresh air. She tightly held the railings and took a few deep breaths to calm down her raging heart. Finally she turned and collapsed on the diwan present there.

The dream was repeatedly playing in her mind. The voice and eyes were strangely familiar, but she was unable to recollect where she had heard and seen them. But one thing she was definitely sure – the last voice that she had heard was of none other than the Dwarkadheesh himself.

Chandrika relaxed on the diwan and turned to stare towards the night sky. Sleep was far away now. And would remain so till the next night, maybe. A lump formed in her throat. And she burst out in a cry. She covered her mouth with a pillow on the diwan to stop her voice from breaking the silence of the night, but wasn't able to stop her tears. She knew in her heart that if she would have taken the hand, a big disaster would have occurred.
