"Is it... is it possible to... to bring... bring people back from the dead?" Chandrika asked Krishna, in a quiet voice.

"Who is it that you want to bring back from the dead?"

"Madhav," Yudhisthir said, in an exasperated tone, but the words died in his mouth as he saw Krishna's raised hand.

"My.... MY PITASHREE...."

Gasps escaped the lips of the Pandavas. Draupadi and Subhadra looked at each other worriedly. Shri Balram had pity in his eyes. While, Shri Krishna had his ever – calm look on his face.

"Okay. And then?"

"Enough, Madhav," said Yudhisthir, standing up from his place. Everyone was a bit taken aback at this gesture of the Ajatshatru.

"I guess we have gone far away with this topic. Everyone in this kaksh knows that no one can be brought back from the dead. Then why are you dragging it further?"

"Bhrata Yudhisthir, as you said that everyone present here knows that no one can be brought back from the dead, then our dear Chanda knows it too. Then don't you think it is surprising that she still asks about carrying out this impossible?"

How much ever annoying it may sound, but Shri Krishna had a point. Yudhisthir had a pained look on his face. He looked at Chandrika but she chose to ignore those eyes.

"So Chanda... you didn't answer me... what are we going to do after bringing back your father?"

Chandrika kept mum at this. Tears started flowing from her eyes. Yudhisthir, not being able to control himself, went near her and engulfed her in his arms. Chandrika too hugged him back, to be in the safety of those arms. Yudhisthir kept rubbing her back till she calmed down. On finding her calm, Yudhisthir separated her from himself and taking her hands in his, he knelt in front of her.

"Chanda... my princess... won't you tell your Kakashree what has happened? Don't you trust us?"

"It's not about trust, Jyesht Kakashree. I... I just... don't want to hurt you all."

"Your silence and suffering hurt more, dear," Nakul said, trying to coax her.

"Please don't hate me for this," Chandrika replied and began narrating the incident that happened after she had left Ashwatthama's realms.

Chandrika's POV:

It was so painful. The constant charming of Dronaputra was taking a toll on me. Hence, before I could succumb completely to his talks, I screamed trying to shut his voice completely. My eyes were closed and when I opened them, I was back in the white void again. I heaved a sigh to find that Ashwatthama wasn't there. I took a moment to calm my hammering heart and shaking nerves.

As soon as I felt good enough, I looked around to find a way out. Suddenly I heard a small kid's giggling. I looked here and there, but there was no one around. I heard the giggling again and tried following the sound. Walking in that direction, I came in front of a door. I had this nagging feeling in the back of my mind, that what if it was a trap. But then... I was already trapped. So I thought of going with the flow and pushed the door open, only to find myself back in....
