Winwin's last kiss was with Lihua when they were younger and this was nothing like it.

This kiss was much sweeter, the touch of Lihua's hands cupping his face shooting sparks through his body, and Winwin couldn't help but want more as they separated for air.

Winwin had been holding it in for a while, the entire time he was helping Lihua with her movements. The tension between them was thick and he could feel Lihua's blood pumping through her veins with every touch, and that's how Winwin knew the girl felt the same.

So Winwin couldn't have been happier when the girl in front of him had her arms around his neck, forehead resting in his as her fighting stick was on the ground, long forgotten. "How long?"

"How long, what?" Winwin asked back, his voice low as he kept his intense gaze on her.

"How long have you been feeling this way?" Lihua clarified.

A smirk appeared on Winwin's lips as he remembered the first time he saw Lihua as more than just a girl the grew up beside him, a girl that he wanted to spend every moment of his life with.

"Since we were 12."

Lihua immediately pushed him away. "You're lying."

"I'm not." Winwin said, taking her hands. "It's been a while."

"Then why did you act like you hated me for all these years?" Lihua asked.

Winwin shrugged. "Teenage hormones."

Winwin couldn't help but smile as she smacked his arm. "I hate you."

"Who's the liar now?" Winwin said, making the girl giggle. Her happiness didn't last long as her smile faded.

Winwin reached out, grabbing onto her hands as he massaged her palms with his thumb. "What's wrong?"

"It's just that you're a prince. And Jaehyun-"

Lihua's voice cracked at her ex-lover's name and Winwin gently tugged, bringing Lihua into his arms.

"I assure you, I will not let myself enter a marriage like that. The benefit of me being the next ruler of a kingdom is that I will do whatever I want and the first thing will be being with you every second of my life."

"And the second?" Lihua asked as she looked up into his eyes.

"Females won't be inferior to men." Winwin said, a grin spreading on his face.

...

Lihua smiled as she woke up that morning, right beside Winwin. She brushed the hair out of his eyes before placing a peck on his forehead, the action making the man shift.

"What time is it?" Winwin mumbled to her.

"Time for us to get up." Lihua said, looking out the window. "Breakfast will end soon and then it'll be time for you to begin your first lesson."

The past few days had gone by quickly, and the villagers were learning well. Yet, the difficult parts were still to come with Winwin's ankle now fully healed, meaning that he was now taking over in terms of teaching.

"You know, I was starting to enjoy the break." Winwin said, nuzzling his head in the crook of her neck. He placed a kiss on a spot on her neck before climbing over her to get ready for the day.

As much as Lihua hated training under Winwin, she always enjoyed the morning stretches he had his squadron do. It was always a refreshing way to begin the day and put Lihua in a good mood for the rest of it.

She followed Winwin's movements in the fresh morning air, the two of them stretching out their muscles, activating them for their training.

As expected, the villagers struggled quite a bit with Winwin's intense training but Lihua was sure that they would get used to it eventually.
