Fidgeting in front of the door, Jungkook can't seem to gather the courage to bring up his hand and knock. He really doesn't think proposing is his thing. His first two attempts at marriage proposal had both gone awry. But hey, they say third time's the charm right?....Right?

Clenching up his palm, he raises his hand to the door. Jungkook holds in his breath and all of the sudden the door swings open.

"Jungkook?" Taehyung says in surprise. "What are doing in front of my house?"

"Taehyung. Hi." Jungkook rubs the back of his neck nervously. "Uhm, is Jiminie hyung ready to go?"

"We broke up 3 years ago and you're still not using honorifics with me. Call me hyung too! It's not fair." Taehyung makes his pouty face.

"Sorry, old habits die hard."

"Tsk. Anyways, Jiminie's still up in his room. But come in, he'll be down soon." Taehyung says as he slips on his sandals.

"Are you going somewhere?" Jungkook crosses the doorway as Taehyung steps outside.

"Yea. I need to go drag Yoongi hyung out of bed so we can go take pictures."

"The picture?" Jungkook raises an eyebrow.

"Yep, that one. But why do you look like you're gonna vomit? Are you okay?"

"Wow. You and Jimin hyung don't look alike but you're definitely twins." Jungkook chuckles.

Taehyung gives him a puzzled look. "Okay? Well, whatever. I gotta go, bye!"

Jungkook weakly waves back and closes the door. Just as he turns around to remove his shoes, he spots Jimin's petite frame coming down the stair. Dressed in black slacks that matched his ebony hair and an almost sheer white cotton button up, Jimin looks more angelic than ever. The sight takes Jungkook's breath away. Every day that he spends with Jimin , he discovers something lovable about the other that he has never realized before. He thought he would be used to seeing Jimin by now but no; Jungkook just gets more nervous and falls deeper in love every time.

"Hey baby bun, you look like a nervous wreck today." Jimin stops short on the last step of the stairs, one hand still resting on the handrail.

"I told you to not call me that." Jungkook comes in closer, looping his arms around Jimin's waist and lifting up his head to touch nose with the other, their lips only an inch apart. It's not very often Jimin is taller than him, this time thanks to the stair step, and Jungkook quite enjoys the view as well as the position.

"Hehhee, I can't help it. You seem like a baby to me." Jimin giggles into their shared space.

"Oh really? A baby who can carry you like this?" Jungkook squats down to wrap his arms around Jimin's legs, throwing the older over his shoulder. Jimin yelps in surprise.

"Kookie pleeease!" Jimin laughs despite the blood rushing to his head. He brings up his hands to tickle the younger. His fingers brush over something hard in the pocket of the blazer and a small box falls to the floor.

"Oh shit." Jungkook hurriedly places Jimin down to pick up the fallen object.

Jimin peers suspiciously at the box in Jungkook's hand.

"Baby are you going to propose to me?" Jimin asks cautiously, a hint of amusement in his tone.

"Fuck my life. I knew this wasn't going to go smoothly." Jungkook stays kneeling on the floor, his head hanging low in dejection.

Jimin stoops down to Jungkook and takes the younger's face in his hands. "Yes." Jimin says with conviction.

Jungkook gazes back, confused. "What?"

"I said yes. Yes as in I will marry you."

"But...I haven't proposed yet." Jungkook is dumbfounded.

"Kookie, if I wait for you to propose, we won't ever get married." Jimin snickers.

Jungkook's distressed face relaxes into an expression of relief and he dives in to capture Jimin's plump lips in his own.

"I'm so lucky to have you." Jungkook whispers into their kiss.

"No. We're lucky to have each other." Jimin replies back lovingly. "Now will you put the ring on my finger?"
