It felt so nice to sleep without worrying about every little noise. Carl's snoring was actually comforting & I easily blocked it out. After washing up, we all headed to the canteen for breakfast. A few people were still asleep from their hard-partying. But, T-dog was up cooking for everyone's hangovers. I sat beside Lori as she helped serve us our plates. Everyone else filed in until the only people missing were Rick & Shane.

"Morning." Rick greeted as we all started to scarf down

"Are you hungover?" Carl asked, making me nearly choke on my cereal

"Mom said you'd be." He explained

"Mom is right." He replied as he took the seat next to me

"Slow down there tiger." He joked as he checked on me. I gave a thumbs-up as I took a sip of orange juice

"Mom has that annoying habit." She replied as she picked apart her bacon

"Eggs. Powdered. But, I do them good." T-dog praised as Gleen groaned in pain. Jackie checked on him while we held back our snickers.

"I bet you can't tell." He continued as he started to plate the scrambled goodness

"Protein helps the hangover." He consoled an ailing Glenn

"Where'd all this come from?" Rick asked as he picked up the pain meds

"Jenner." Lori answered as Rick passed me the meds to give to her

"Could you help me, please?" He asked

"He thought we could use it. Some of us, at least." She replied as Rick thanked her

"Don't ever ever ever let me drink again." Glenn mumbled

"Pass these to dad." Lori said as she passed back the bottle

Everyone looked up at her comment. She started to fumble for an apology. I smiled as I decided to play along. Before I could say anything, Shane came in & took the attention away. I passed the bottle back as Rick asked about how he felt. It was pretty normal until T-dog noticed some cuts on his neck. He said it was in his sleep but Rick didn't buy it as he joined the table. But, he kept with it & gave Lori a dirty look when he said its not like him at all.

He got a cop-out from an interrogation by Jenner. Everyone's minds switched to why we came here in the 1st place. Everyone finished their bite of food & joined him in the computer room for some answers. We filled out around the rows of desks as Jenner pulled up TS-19. It was an in-depth study of someone's brain but he wouldn't say who.

"What are those lights?" Shane asked as we saw dendrites

"It's a person's life--experiences, memories. It's everything. Somewhere in all that organic wiring, all those ripples of light is you. The thing that makes you unique & human." He poetically explained

"You don't make sense ever?" Daryl annoyingly asked

"Those are synapses, electric impulses in the brain that carry all the messages. They determine everything a person says, does, or thinks from the moment of birth to the moment of death." He answered, unphased by Daryl's curtness

"Death? Is this a vigil?" Rick asked as he approached Jenner

"Yes. Or rather the playback of the vigil." He clarified

"This person dies? Who?" Andreas asked as she went for a better view by Rick

"Test Subject 19. Someone who was bitten & infected & volunteered to have us record the process." He answered which made me sick
