I am a human
Flawed and broken,
Scarred and messed up.
I make mistakes
And I learn from them
But I need time to realise
Those little errors
And that's what makes me human.
I am not perfect
And I don't know everything,
I judge too harshly at times,
I make impulsive decisions sometimes,
I might not see my faults each time,
Because I am not perfect;
But I do have an open mind
And I'm ready to learn from the past.
Therefore, I am a good person;
Not because I don't have shortcomings
But because I acknowledge them,
That I do err at times
A lot of times maybe
And that's what makes me human-
To be able to make free decisions
And to rectify and make it better
When things don't work out.
What makes us all humane
Is to understand that
We all make mistakes.
We all are flawed
We all get misguided
We all make assumptions
We all make rash decisions
That mayn't bode well with all.
But to accept it all
And keep marching ahead
To become better as individuals
And together as one being
Is what makes us humans.
Permitting ourselves and
Others to make mistakes
Letting ourselves and others grow
Learning and becoming better
But not hating on our past selves
Is what makes us humans.
Trying and failing
Messing up over and over again
In the quest to do the Right
But never giving up
Never stopping
Striving
To live.
