The Meeting

I woke up at 4am the next day. I decided it would be best to sneak into my dorm before Snape or anyone else noticed I wasn't there.

"Goodbye, darling. See you in a little," I whispered as I slowly closed the door. I didn't get very far before Snape stopped me in my tracks.

"What must you be doing at 4 o'clock in the morning Mr. Malfoy?" He asked very seriously.

"I went for a morning walk," I answered.

"You must know that it is prohibited for students to be walking at this hour,"

"Yes, sir,"

"But for you, I'll make an exception. Didn't you read the letter I gave you?"

"Yes, sir,"

"Then why aren't you on your way to see your father?" I had forgotten it was today.

"I- I- I was on my way sir,"

"Very well then. And why are you wearing pajamas to a meeting?" I looked down at my clothes. "Get dressed boy and quickly," I left without another word.
Not long after, I found myself at my home. I was dreading being back here.

"Draco, thank you for coming," my father said rather nervously.

"Not like I had a choice," I mumbled.
My mother had vacant expressions. Wide-eyed and lips straight.

"Everyone is counting on you Draco. You must go through with the plan,"

"But- father,"

"Draco, you must. Fix the vanishing cabinet and we we will be rewarded," he flashed a smile. I nodded nervously. "Good boy," my mother squeezed my shoulder and they both left the room.

Narrator POV:

A few hours later, (y/n) awoke from a peaceful sleep. She dreamt about Draco and what life outside of Hogwarts would look like for them. She got up and looked over only to find an empty sofa. No platinum blonde boy laying on it.

"Draco?" She lifted the blanket she had given him the night before. "Draco!" She quickly got dressed and roamed the hallways in search of him. "I doubt he has gone back to the common room- oh please he must've. I'm over thinking it," she decided to go head to breakfast early.

"Hey, Hermione, hey, Harry, hey, Ron!" She greeted the trio.

"Hello, (y/n)!" They said together.

"Where's Draco? You always bring him," Hermione asked.

"Oh, Draco? Yeah he decided to sleep in," her face turning pink.

"Oh, okay then,"

"Yeah," she sort of whispered looking over to the entrance, hoping to see Draco walk through the doors.

"Why aren't you eating? You got mad at us for not eating just yesterday," Harry said.

"Did not! I could tell you guys were just trying to avoid Draco. I'm sick of it. What's up with you guys?"

"He thinks too highly of himself, like he's too powerful for this school," Harry answered.

"I heard he's a death eater," Ron jumped in.

"Draco? A death eater?" Hermione and I looked at each other. "He could never. He might seem intimidating, but he has a heart you know. Asked me out yesterday," Hermione raised an eyebrow.

"He did?"

"Mhm,"

"He better not be forcing you,"

"Hermione!"

"Sorry,"

"No, it's completely my decision. He's quite nice actually," I looked at the floor.

"Draco Malfoy? Nice?" Harry asked.

"Yes Harry! Refuse to believe it if you'd like but I'm telling the truth! I'm the only friend he's got, well, girlfriend now,"

"What about Crabbe and Goyle?" Ron asked.

"Well, they're not really friends, true friends. Family friends more so, do you really think Draco talks to them about his life problems?" They remained silent. "Exactly,"

"Hey, (y/n), we should leave these boys behind and go for a walk around the castle, I want to hear all about your relationship," Hermione told her.

"That was unexpected," she laughed. "But sure, let's go," they got up from the table and left.
By this time, Malfoy had returned to the school and was just about to enter the great hall when he heard Hermione and (y/n)'s voices. He hid behind the wall and listened into their conversation.

"So, tell me all about him," said Hermione.

"So, he's funny, he's cute, definitely wants to move quickly," she laughed. "He's a really genuine person and not a lot of people see that," Draco smiled. "Reminder, we've only been dating for a day," the girls giggled.

"Wow, a lot in just a day, huh?"

"Yeah," she smiled. "He's a good guy and just wants to be loved," Draco almost cried at the fact she understood him so well.

"Ah!" Draco whisper screamed. He had heard a noise which had startled him.

"Did you hear that?" Hermione asked (y/n).

"Yeah, I did,"

"Let's see who's spying on us, shall we?" Hermione asked. Draco knew he was about to be caught. He ran as fast as he could.

"Hey, jerk!" (Y/n) shouted, not knowing it was Draco.

"There's no one here," Hermione said in a confused manner as they looked behind the wall Draco was standing by.

"That's interesting," (y/n) said.

They continued walking and caught up with each other. Before they knew it, it was time for class.

"Well, I'll see you around, (y/n)," Hermione said.

"Yeah, see you around!" They walked in the opposite direction of each other.
