The time-taker

The past is gone, what's done is done
The future a beast from which you can't run
All you have is this moment
A piece out of time,
To cherish before it becomes mine
Time is endless, it's infinite
Don't ever try to confine it
It goes, oh time goes,
Like how a never ending river flows
But who am I to take your time?
You'll never know, so it's not a crime
To turn back the clock,
Would be like telling geese not to flock
