Poem 13, by me

I cannot give

I cannot give you fortune, I cannot give you fame,
All I can give is a cozy chair and some gentle rain
I cannot give you trips to places, or the finest silks 'n laces
All I can give is my warm embraces

And if you are not happy, I will not buy you a ring
Instead I'll get you flowers, fresh cut in the spring
And if you are crying, I will not buy you a car
Instead I'll get you truffles and a chocolate bar

I'll never make you a big house, atop the highest hill
But I will give you freedom, to do what you wish and will
I'll never make you rich, that I'm quite sure of
But I will give you every bit of my endless love

And if this doesn't suit you, then you're not the one for me
For you should love me regardless of my wealth or money
