Things have fallen into nothing but peace and quiet for the days that followed the battle. The wooden cabin served not only a shelter once you returned to it immediately after that long day, but it gave the perfect solitude to hide you from the world, and indirectly, the reality of how your past is going to affect your near future. You could have welcomed the peacefulness that it has been offering you if not for the tumultuous storm still happening in your head.

It was a good thing that Mage Cian and Anya—the witch girl that you had helped escape from her old coven—had decided to stay for a while. Their presence has served as a good distraction to get your mind off of what has truly been bugging you ever since you stepped out of the old castle, even if it meant to have the small place feeling a bit too crowded with extra guests taking up space.

While Mage Cian has been staying to act as a mentor to both you and Seokjin, Anya had stayed to become your disciple. Your first-ever disciple.

You were not completely sure about taking the responsibility at first, until Mage Cian told you the reason why. With her past experience where her own family had betrayed her, it would have taken her a while before she could trust anyone ever again. But you are the familiar face she sees after that day, and also the only one in this world who may come close to understand what she has been through with your own experience.

According to your godfather, it would be crucial for you to be the girl's first mentor before she could find the perfect mentor who could take her on.

Which is why you are spending your morning with her—the same way you have been since the day you took her on—sitting crossed-legs while facing each other right at the center of the sunroom, where you have your altar, teaching her how to read through the grimoires and introducing her to the most basic things a white witch would need to know before she could start her proper training with any mentor that the mage might choose for her.

While you are focusing on laying out your crystals, some dried herbs, and a few of your essentials needed for your rituals and how to use them, you can hear Mage Cian's voice in the distance, as he coaches your mate on how to fight while using his magic armour. Your godfather had taught you how to summon the armour, just in case one day the two of you would ever need them in the future, and he is out there now, showing Seokjin on how to properly fight while wearing them on.

Your chest tightens just as you imagine 'the future', not knowing how much of your past would continue to haunt you as long as you are with Seokjin. Especially after what you had found out through your encounter with the Dark Warlock, Barin.

The sound of chalk scratching against the floor pulls your attention away from the deep growls your mate is making outside of the cabin. You place your focus back on your new protege, watching her draw the pentacle on the floor the exact same way you had taught her before she could try on her first ritual, with the same intricate patterns that your coven uses. You had agreed with Mage Cian to first teach her how to meditate and summon her powers before deciding what kind of witchcraft she is going to learn in the future, though her questions had always been about your abilities, hinting that she might be interested in learning all that you are able to do or possibly become a healer and a clairvoyant.
