-y/n slowly walked out of the hospital doors. They gave him a prosthetic for his leg to help him walk but that was it.-

-thankfully ruby left his cane that she made him, he needed it to walk as he had trouble. He was wearing loose black pants and a loose shirt.-

-he knew full well yang put that. He started to walk forward as his hand was having to hold the cane.-

-he slowly stumbled down the sidewalk. He was supposed to meet team rwby and jnpr for his return celebration. Suddenly y/n was pushed into a alleyway.-

-y/n looked up as he was on the ground and he saw 2 faunas and a human with bats.-

Faunas 1: well look at that? The great commander that stopped the evil faunas!

Human: you bastards just had to keep the faunas down didn't you?

Faunas 2: the white fang have done nothing to deserve that! They wanted nothing more than be equals!

-the second faunas ran and sang his bat hitting y/n's head back. Y/n laid there as he heard them destroy his prosthetic leg. He closed his eyes as they started to roughly beat him like he was some bag. He opened his eyes as he heard them laughing as they walked away. He wheezed as he breathed. He looked at himself seeing blood on his leg and chest. His arm was bruised and bloody as he coughed a bit of blood. He knows his bones aren't broken due to his aura and semblance, but his lungs and muscles were still weak and scarred.-

-the people were most likely white fang supporters. Probably angry he led the assault and defense against the white fang at Rose and was the one commanding the army that destroyed the last of the atlas white fang. Y/n honestly doesn't care anymore. He is tired of this he just wants this to end. He didn't ask for his opponent to be faunas and white fang. Y/n grabbed the cane and weakly crawls to the wall and gets up against it. He sits back against it as his eye glowed green making him slowly heal. He sighs closing his eye as he waits until someone finds him.-

???: y/n?!

-he looked to the side and saw penny quickly run to him and gently hugged him.-

-he saw her look at his missing arm and broken prosthetic. He smiled slightly as she gently rub the side of his head. He felt her rub his bandages around his eye.-

Penny: i-i...I'm so so sorry y/n.

-she hugs him tightly-

Penny: I'm so sorry! I should have begged ironwood to let me help you, I should have gone with you and helped protect you!

-y/n just wrapped his arm around her tightly. He hasn't hugged anyone in what felt like forever. He was hugged all the time but this is the first time he hugged back. He suddenly held her closely hiding in her neck as he just let go of his stress and thoughts.-

Penny: I promise y/n, you are safe now, I swear it.

-penny waved as she helped y/n to the park with everyone. They all quickly stood up seeing y/n bloody and beaten. Yang quickly ran and helped y/n to a seat. As he sat down he grabbed his cane from penny and looked at everyone.-

Yang: what happened?!

-y/n looked up at yang and remains silent-

Ruby: y/n...please speak to us.

-y/n looked up-

Y/n: -weakly- i-it hurts too...

-everyone was shocked at his voice. His once confident voice was reduced to a weak low version. Can war really change a person this much? They all looked sad finally realizing the man they loved and cared about was killed in Rose.-
