turning around, i was greeted by hoseok's mother and she gave me a small reassuring smile before leading us to the dining room

to be very honest with you, after living here for 2 weeks, i still get confused which room is which and sometimes, i get lost while finding hoseok's room because the place is just too big

reaching the dining room,i saw hoseok's father sitting at the very end of the long rectangle table and had a cold, plain face

but somehow upon seeing me, his face lit up and smiled at me

i saw hobi's face too and he knew that i still feel a little uncomfortable around his parents because they are obviously different from me and i am also afraid of them plunging onto me, wanting to suck my blood

❝ what's wrong baby? ❞

hobi asked me but i shrugged it off and he helped pull the chair for me like a gentleman and i sat on it, also mumbling a small thank you for him which he then later on, pulled out his chair which was beside me and sat on it 

❝ sorry for the late information that we want to have a dinner with you. hopefully we didn't disrupt anything. ❞

hoseok's father started off after the maidens served us the food and being the polite me, i gave them a small thank you and also smiled at them

after a while, hoseok's father spoke up which made me shock

❝ so, next week, we will have your wedding and the ceremony for you both who are going to be the next king and queen. is that alright? ❞

he asked us and i set my cutlery down on the plate

❝ i honestly don't want to agree to this because we know what lucas is going to do and what if he crashes our wedding and the ceremony? he will harm those innocent villagers and i don't want that to happen to those innocent people who may lose their lives if lucas attacks us. ❞

i said and looked at my lap, afraid that they will object and because i have said my part

i then felt a hand on mine and knew that it was hoseok

i looked up from my lap to look at hobi and he gave me a reassuring smile, indicating that it is alright

❝ well, i think y/n is right. if lucas's ever strikes when it is their happy moment, a lot of lives will be lost and we have to not let them happen because we know who exactly lucas wants and that is y/n. so i totally agree with y/n  we shall postpone their wedding and ceremony. ❞

hoseok's mother said and my head shot up at how she is agreeing with me

i honestly didn't expect either one of them to agree with me

❝ what are you talking about h/m/n?! i know what's going to happen and we both know that he isn't going to attack that early! so why must we postpone the wedding and ceremony?! ❞

hoseok's father demanded and that is the last straw for hoseok's mother and she exploded

❝ don't you get it?! he can change his mind and attack as soon as possible to be able to get y/n! do you know much much she means to hoseok?! have you forgotten what he did to hoseok when they were younger?! why can't you just admit that he is the bad guy here! ❞

hoseok mother demanded and after that, stomped her way out

she must be so angry

i took a look at hoseok and saw that he has a mixed expression on his face

his father then signalled hoseok to take me back up to our room and he restlessly walked up to our room

❝ hoseok? are you alright? ❞

i asked him while we walked up the stairs to our room but he ignored me and continued and slapped the door open

i saw how the maidens in the corridor jolted from their positions at the sudden shock

i bowed at them as an apology and then entered the room to see hoseok laying on the bed so restlessly

❝ hoseok? i know that you are not in the mood to talk to me but can you just- never mind. have a good sleep and rest well, maybe not because you vampires don't sleep. ❞

i said and went to a corner of the room where all my art materials and the big ass mirror i am planning to paint on

as i was doing preparations for my painting, i felt that something is off which i then realised that i don't have a maiden with me

as i grew closer to the maidens, i felt like at least one maiden or hoseok is beside me, i feel safe

opening the door, i called out for veronica and immediately she appeared right in front of me which made me jolt and seeing my reaction, she giggled

❝ gosh veronica! how many times do i have to tell you to not keep teleporting and scare me! ❞

i said, grasping my chest, feeling my fast heart beat

❝ sorry mrs jung but it is the fastest transportation right? ❞

she asked me

❝ yes it is but try and make it not scare me and do not call me mrs jung. i'm not married yet. ❞

i told her and she giggled again, nodding her head and then asking me what i needed

❝ oh i need you to help me get a bucket of water and help me rinse my brushes while i set up my paint. it isn't much of a trouble is it to you? i hope i don't trouble you. ❞

i said and she immediately dashed to my bucket and my brushes

❝ no you aren't troubling me, mrs jung! i'll take them to the bathroom! bye! ❞

she said excitedly like a kid and i sighed the 1000th time today

❝ i told you not to call me mrs jung because- ❞

my words got cut off by veronica

❝ you're not married yet yes i know! i was just teasing you! ❞

she exclaimed and this time, it is my turn to giggle at her and we have completely forgotten that hoseok is also in the same room as us
